We tied those flies for Pike. Is that like a Muskie? My friend is heading over to the Saskatchewan area and apparently the pike are enormous there. That fly was tied on a 4/0 and is 8inches long 😮

I think it is a marketing ploy aimed at getting more guys on the water in search of the “Hardy Girl”.  If you look at the pictures in magazines of women fishing, they all seem to be babes in bikinis :o.  When I’m out on the water, mostly what I see are guys in dirty fishing shirts smoking cigars. :-/

Seems to still be very much male dominated down in the Antipodes and I was wondering if the 1 in 4 was just marketing hype or a reality you are seeing on the river also?

I write in my fishing diary regularly and try to get some of my observations down straight away. Looking back, its not only a wealth of information but helps me collect my thoughts when writing a piece I wish to submit.
