I just realized rods were a mixture of bamboo and glass on the smaller streams. ::)

No hogs but managed to have a couple of fun days.

Simon I’ll be across in late January early Feb. Bringing Dhanders to hammer the Clutha with Bob, (and Carl as well, I think).

I’ve been scoping out the lower bits…. HEAPS of potential
    Those searunners hangout somewhere!

Jeez we copped a battering from the yanks, costly victory.

Yep. Against the hardened Boks will be tough….
I still think Gatieau? should have been selected anyway

Oh and by the way you can have Deans back anytime you want him.
    Nah…. :-X

FWIW I’m probably pretty tough on gear and we tend to walk a lot in NZ both up the river and then back to the car.
An hour walking back wouldn’t be unusual.
    Simms.
If I get 100 days I’m stoked. Most pairs, if I take care of them and wet wade at least 1/2 the season will last me a couple of seasons.
Best of all- they come in a huge array of sizes.

Very embarrassing. I thought we were a little better than that but of course a few are spoiling it for others.
Support has always been for the underdog but sledging aside, some of the behavior is very poor.

Just put $20 on the US to beat the Wallabies at 51 to 1.. 😎

No way! I would have given you 1000-1.
Never turn your back on a saltwater croc… or the wallabies…

Still “trojan horse” pops up everytime I see Quade Cooper choking one up… 😉

Morsie. Do you need acc? Theres a crew of us slumming in an apartment but hoping it’ll be a long a festive night.
I have a spare black jersey if you find yourself looking to watch some footy. If we kook it then I’ll wear one of yours or Mikes!

Were you wearing green? Drinking Guinness? What a night I’d say!? Smiley
Must have been a great game to have been at?

Was definitely wearing green.  Unfortunately, they don’t sell Guinness at the stadium.  I’ve been to quite a few great live sporting events, and the game last night was right up there with the best of them.  I can only imagine what that place is going to be like for the final…

;)Just so happens I have tickets…

Off to Eden Park to watch the Wallabies lose to the Irish…   Grin

    Cool

I didn’t actually think the Irish would pull it off.  What a game!

As for the ABs, it was already bad enough losing Read, but now no Dan, Richie, Mils, or Dagg.  I sure hope the injuries clear up soon.

    😉 :-X

Bash the living snot out of each other is more like it – then drink beer together.

Don’t think for one moment that those countries in which it is a minor sport (like Australia – who have won it twice by the way) don’t like to remind our dearly beloved Kiwi cousins of that fact……

Well, we don’t got no hope and I don’t think prayer’s will help.

The Kiwi’s might get their hands on Web Ellis… lol

Did you watch the game against the Welsh Mike?

You guys have gone out to a 8-1 odds at the local bookies. A tempting lazy tenner… SA rugby might not be pretty but they are World Champions… (twice) :-X

I played rugby once.  I think the object of the game is to is to run around, hit each other, get in a big pile and then drink beer afterward.

That sums it up well.. 😀

    yep

Heres a pic of Chris Dore and me with overnight packs and the Lanyards.
The “old man” sticks make a huge difference on the formed track and for hoofing it back to the car for coffee and beer after. The walking pole with camera attachment might be a goody?

If you don’t like it dangling I leave one of the snap swivels for connecting to my shirt through a button hole.
