waist high waders are the ticket for rowing a drift boat. I never wade over my knees anymore anyway, and they are comfortable while fishing and perfect for launching and loading the boat etc. I have a pair of simms waist highs and a pair of g3’s and like both

FWIW I’m probably pretty tough on gear and we tend to walk a lot in NZ both up the river and then back to the car.
An hour walking back wouldn’t be unusual.
    Simms.
If I get 100 days I’m stoked. Most pairs, if I take care of them and wet wade at least 1/2 the season will last me a couple of seasons.
Best of all- they come in a huge array of sizes.

Well, Aaron…I have to agree with you about Albright lately. They overcharge for shipping and they have also raised their prices considerably. In the last year, their reels went up by 500%. Pretty much everything in their line-up has increased in price. I bought my waders from the company when you could still buy them for 29 bucks. I wouldn’t buy Albright again. I simply wanted to suggest that there are less expensive waders out there on the market for a very reasonable price. I also like the Hodgman brathable  stocking foot waders that be found for roughly 50 bucks.

Simms Guides are back this year; I would get them over the G3s.

i love the chest pocket on the g3s and the tippet pouch!!!. but some people love simplicity!

The main hang up I have about the chest pocket is that it impedes the ability to roll the wader down.

Patagonia waders are the best I’ve had.

I have the g3 convertibles and I’ve been very happy with them going on three years now. No leaks despite my lousy treatment of them.

My Patagonia water masters arrived last night. Very comfortable. Looking forward to the being able to write your name in the snow feature.

I picked up the nano puff pants to wear underneath. Most comfortable things I’ve ever worn. On sale now on their site if you are XL or XXL at $80

Unless you row a lot then I would get the G4’s

The Hodgeman Guidelite has been as tough as Chuck Norris for me, at a fair price.

I can’t say enough good things about the redington breathables I have owned the last few seasons.
