    I find it ironic that Patagonia doesn’t give a pro deal to a professional Patagonian fishing guide.

    The collar and longer length are features that I rate in a jacket.

    I’ve got the drycreek rolltop and its been excellent.
    I had a friend however, with the Patagonia Stormfront. Apparently sometimes the zipper is the weak link but the impressive thing for me was the harness. It took a water bladder on the outside of the pack.
    That to me would be an excellent feature of any future waterproof pack I purchased. the ability to drink from a bladder without having to open the pack or perform a yoga move to get to a bottle.

    If as Zach has said the other manufacturers have found the “pack” factory – I maybe in the market again.

    I’m not sure what the temp range will be Joe but if it was mainly in cold water I’d be tempted with the SA steelhead line. Its an amazing line and you can chuck anything on it a long way…  🙂

    Oh and I think I like it because its easy to roll cast and its got a super long belly and rear taper, which makes it easy to carry in the air.

    I’m not too sure I can agree. “Just as well”…even most of the time is not good enough for me. There is no substitute for being dry and comfortable AND having waders which fit well.

    Simms for me. I always ask the best from myself and my gear. I hate compromising
