Only had a couple of days so far this season.

A wee brown to lighten an otherwise quiet day in Southland.
If modest-size fish count, I offer the following snapshot from my trip last weekend:
Drove a total of 5 hours and 20 minutes on this one day trip, so the “itinerant” part fits, even if the size doesn’t.
I’d love to jump in on this next week but I think I’ll need a skull cap with the IA man on it and not the mesh camo one I picked up.
If this is a bar in Montana, I need to find it soon!

Finally was able to spend a little time upfront myself.
Here is my “Bob Clouser Signature Edition” hat. I paid him 5 bucks to rub off a little extra smallmouth mojo onto it as well. This will see a lot of water this spring!

At first glance i thought that was one of the largest small mouth’s i’d ever seen!!Neat fish!
It is probably very similar to your smallmouth/largemouth bass in a lot of ways Colin. These beasts can grow to over 100 pounds though. I look forward to a fish even a quarter of that weight eating a fly 😮
Well I’m jealous guys, my truck got broken into this fall and mine got stolen along with two rods and reels…
