Well I have been busy and not at the vice for a while, it’s turned pretty cold here now so spending more time tying flies…
I have got back to tying more of my emergers project… here are a couple of favorites from the latest batch….

    E/C Caddis…

    Vertical Emerger- parachute hendrickson…

    Parachute Midge Emerger…

And last Suspender Midge (crap photo though)…

I keep looking back thinking I must be about half way through the book… check checked, almost 1/3

Thanks. I’m working my way through the book “Tying Emergers” by Jim Schollmeyer and Ted Leeson. I have been keeping track as I go on my blog, just over a third of the way through the book now.

A couple more from the last batch, I haven’t given myself any timelines

Mike what is the body material for the e/c caddis, that is some sharp looking stuff….

    #59311

It’s superfine dry fly dubbing from a dispenser? I don’t remember the brand… it’s good stuff to dub a nice fine body.

I saw this part and had to look at the date and location since we, in Arkansas and most of US, are at 105+ each day!!   ;D

Ha ha… no need to rub it in, it’s been around -7 deg celsius and warms up to around 2-3 deg celsius during the days this week. Just got acquired a Sage XP 4 weight so might brave the cold just to cast it at least

Just finished the parasol/ umbrella series so on to the paraloop emergers next…
It’s funny how you enjoy tying certain style of flies over others…. a couple from the last batch…

I have done the paraloop section of the book, only a half dozen patterns… this is probably my favorite…

Thanks Guys… must get into the next section collar hackle and heel collar emergers. It ha sheen a good way to learn different tying techniques and options for other patterns.

Been no emergers getting tied at the moment, got some orders to tie and been playing around tweaking a couple of favorite flies for the lake… added a chenille peeking head on a couple of caddis nymphs…

That is a nice touch that looks easy to execute. I haven’t seen a fly like that before. – Very cool idea.

I thought I would have smashed out the project over winter… didn’t do the tying I normally would.
Busy life and mild weather had me doing other things… I finally got a few more tied.
Poor photos’ and I discovered a spot in the lens of my PS camera  >:(
Have to set up the shot to one corner to try and crop it out….
    Here’s a couple from the latest batch…
