What kind of boat did you build?
May 11, 2008 at 9:30 pm #26059
Mark SchaferMemberMichael,
Like Zach I would love to see some pictures of that boat. I have cleaned out “my” side of the garage in preparation for a summer boat building project my thought was to hone my skills on a pirough (with the help of the kids)May 12, 2008 at 12:37 am #26060andrew_bell

MemberHey Guys,
I’m new around these parts (ducks for cover), but I figured I’d toss my hat in the water.

MemberOk guys…
No measurement taking…
This fish was hooked on the outside of the jaw ( it was not hooked inside the mouth).Night fishing Lake Taneycomo with a 7wt using 8lb Maxima.

(this has to be the only fish I have ever had to put on a reel..LOL)
Being filter feeders.. What I think happened was the line drifted into its mouth causes the fish to twitch.. The fight lasted about 10-15 minutes..
I had a few people tell me its 40+ and some say 50+Lbs…
I dont know..May 28, 2008 at 3:11 pm #26071Zach Matthews
The Itinerant AnglerHoly. Crap. Â Good job Leonard! Â Did you keep him to eat? Â Those things taste just like swordfish, I swear.

MemberNope…
it was a C&R…
You would believe how many people said I should have kept it.. But now someone else can have fun too..
Caught 5/12/08.
this was the first night Taneycomo had shut the water after the floodMay 28, 2008 at 3:21 pm #26073Zach Matthews
The Itinerant AnglerWell, paddlefish are amazingly good to eat, but it can take a while to get through a 40-50# fish (I agree on that size, btw – I’ve seen them from 60-80lbs).

The Itinerant AnglerWhen was it caught, Leonard?

InactiveI guess it actually requires one to go fishing to get into this contest…like in Seinfield…”I’m Out!”

MemberI got this one last week while dredging stoneflies on the bottom along a current seam against a big eddy.
28″ long and just a touch over 10lbs on the Boga. Not sure what kind of carp it is……other than a stonefly eaten carp. -
