Red fish and New Orleans

After reading a few chapters about catching Redfish on the fly I did the usual search stuff online and on youtube.
WOW!! What a cool fish and fishery.
Next time I come to the US, I’d like to give this a go!

Have things somehow returned to some normalcy after Cyclone Katrina and is the fishery generally like that? Um…epic sightfishing?

Generally yes, it is a sight fishing heaven.

Bob is right in that there is no walk in wade fishing (other than in the surf) BUT I can get you into lots of fish for a $30 a day kayak rental…
