MemberFirst, it’s not my fish, and I don’t know the guy who caught it. One of the guys on another board I post at was visiting family here in Fresno. While here he got a text from a friend who had just caught and released a monster Madison brown.
This is the guys blog. Scroll down to his Oct. 31st entry.:
http://utahcutthroat.blogspot.com/I can’t even imagine a fish like that. 😮 ;D

MemberWOW! That’s the best news I’ve heard in…well quite a while anyway. Let’s hope they use a big rusty nail when they fasten them to the wall. >:(
Congrats. I know it does not make it go away, but at least it’s some justice. Let us know how it turns out.

MemberDang, Aaron. They just keep getting better. They are all pretty nice, but some of those are fantastic pics, IMO. I really like #’s 1, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12 & 13. The last brown, wow, love how the parr marks are just visible in that fish, and the fish’s colors are very nice. Well done on the pics. 😎 😎

MemberZach, be glad your eastern watersnake looks as different as it does from the cottonmouth. How’d you like to have to compare the cottonmouth to california’s southern watersnake:

MemberCorey, let me just say: Wow! This pic is sweet. Toothy. ;D ;D ;D

There are so many people posting great pics on this board, but yours are repeatedly the ones I keep coming back to. Keep them coming. 😎

MemberI don’t know from Koi, but the first thing that went through my head was “Monster Beta”.

;D
Obviously it’s not, but those fins draped down instantly reminded me of the betas my dad had when I was a kid.Darrin Terry

MemberStill catching my breath. John, I had not even read your comment on that last shot and was zooming in on the dog’s face. Thanks for that. I miss having a dog. I miss my boy, Asher, a great mutt. The look on that dogs face tells the story for me. A dog chasing joy itself. ;D ;D ;D

MemberWow. Thanks for the link Zach.

MemberSweet report, Aaron. Yeah, #3: Game On! Cool shot. ;D

MemberVery cool pics, Aaron.
A quick googling turned these up:
Bobcat:
Lynx RufusOthers in the lynx family:
Canadian LynxBased on location, they would have to be bobcats. Very cool family of cats. The Lynx family that is.
And this happened right out your window at work? Lucky and good on you for having the camera ready. 🙂

MemberNice Zach. Conway is speaking at one of the clubs I am a member of in Dec. Can’t wait for the presentation. I’ve a couple friends who went out with Conway shortly after Corey’s trip and they had a blast. Looking forward to the pics.
The makos look fun, but blues have been my favorite shark since I was a kid in Huntington Beach.
Chad, I’ve never flyfished the surf but a friend of mine (Randy on the Kern board) caught a very nice leopard his first trip surf fishing: http://www.kernriverflyfishing.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1184030702
Very cool looking shark and one I would definitely like to go after when I finally try the surf.Darrin Terry
MemberBeautiful pics, Aaron. I really like the first and last though. 🙂

MemberCool, you got pics of my two favorite planes of WWII. The F4U Corsair and the P51 Mustang. Very nice captures, Mike. 🙂

MemberWill, the second pics is sick! Anyway, the real reason I am responding is to ask whether or not you have checked out Dgrin.com?
I know there are some great photogs here, but there is an entire section on the dgrin forum dedicated to macro photography and several people are doing focus stacking regularly. You might be able to get some help/advice/tips there. The whole site is about photography and methods and critique. Much of the content of the macro section is of spiders and insects.
By the way, I have really been enjoying your bug shots. Thanks for taking us along on your journey. 🙂 🙂 🙂
