MemberSome of these pictures truely show the beauty in Trout! This is why I love to fish and to see these amazing colors, besides the color of a spawning Geenback Cutty, Fall Browns are about as good as it gets for me!

MemberGot one today. This guy had some teeth! 🙂
Love this time of year .. The colors are stunning!

Corey, something about this pick says “Gaurd Dog” to me. Â Awesome job. Â This should be on a cover somewhere if you have a vertical version. Otherwise, a full page spread would do nicely ;D.

:D. I agree he looks pretty damn mean and I love all those teeth. I feel like he gives a nice visual of the kind of predator that your after when thowing streamers. Nov 4, 2008 at 5:05 pm #31957Tim Pommer

MemberI must agree with Mike. That is very well put Tim! Damn nice fish!
Corey- I cheked out the JJ special and tied up a few for my next trip to big brown territory. Thanks for the link. What is your variation on the fly if you don’t mind my asking?
I looked at your flicker site and you are capturing some great shots. Very refreshing view of our beloved hobby.

Nice .. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. It is a consistent producer for me! I actually picked this one up from a local shop … The only real difference is that it has a yellow under body and a dark top.
EDIT: Looks alot like a Bighorn Bugger. Which may be the fly that was referred to as a ‘Bighorn Special’, In this article What Makes The J.J. Special?

MemberI wish that was my fish. Â A buddy and I watched what we thought was a log, turn and grab my buddy’s GRHE. Â Biggest brown I’ve ever seen in my life.

MemberFirst, it’s not my fish, and I don’t know the guy who caught it. One of the guys on another board I post at was visiting family here in Fresno. While here he got a text from a friend who had just caught and released a monster Madison brown.
This is the guys blog. Scroll down to his Oct. 31st entry.:

No Doubt! Bryan is a great guy and a pretty good friend. The guy spends a serious amount of time on the water! It’s cool to see all his effort pay off. BIG!!!  😀

MemberWell .. looks like this thread is about over. I recently posted this on another board in a thread about hunting browns and it seemed on topic for this thread also. I first read this in The Drake a couple issues ago, thought some of you guys might like it also …

MemberSad to see my thread ending so soon…something about prolonging Fall Brown season for 6 months would suit me fine 😀
