MemberNice fish!
We don’t get any lake-run monsters around these parts, but there are plenty ‘good’ fish to be found.

MemberThose are some pigs Guys! I hope to get some new pics this year if they ever stop generating on my home waters.
Corey, Is that a rattle snake I see impaled in that leopards face? Also another san juan worm gets the job nicely done in the second photo.
Micah, Holy $*@& man I want to fish with you sometime! Nice.

That fly is an articulated zoo cougar .. It has amazing action in the water! You can always rely on the worm to get the job done! ๐

MemberThe Cougar is an awesome fly, I remember a few years back when I was at the Slide Inn on the Madison I was fortunate to have a beer with Kelly Galloup and talk to him about some of his patterns.
Love the Action on them Fo sure!

MemberSome more great looking browns guys. I’m jealous fo sho!
I fished the Little Red River last tuesday and hung three good sized browns and one very big fish but could not close the deal. I am hoping to put a fall brown hawg pic on this thread soon.Corey- Another nice fish and I am guessing an autum splender is the fly? Man you are blessed to be in such a beautiful place. I also noticed in the first pic with the articulated zoo cougar it looks like it’s snowing in the background, that had to a great moment in your fishing memories! Also you have a great eye with the camera my friend!
Carry on gents. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing

Thanks …. I really do live in a fantastically beautiful place and am lucky to be close to a river that I love to fish! We get some early snow storms that blow through in October and November which make for some stunning scenery. The color and the light that day was perfect. I took one of my favorite fall pics on that day ( HERE ). The fly is a variant of a J.J. Special, one of my favorite small steamers! ย Here is a video tuorial.
