I hunt in the fall, and have never fished that country.. Water levels may be low, and clear, be ready for snow.. Get a scale, preferably the electronic type, and tie loop on each end and test the strenght of your line, if its not in the area of the listed pound rating, youve over heated it in the trunk, or its a poor quality company.. I like reo… I was told Flouro carbon is for under water, mono is for on top… Ill bet you can use number four flourocarbon under water and the fish still cant see it… What the finer tippets would be for in my estimation is for lots of action.. Our wall mart had seats and hardware last year, I dont think they have their main order in yet or maybe they arnt going to carry them this year..
Each hook size is coupled to a leader size.. Usually smaller hooks have smaller leaders etc…
the small stuff will set themselves…. Bigger hooks will take more of a tug.. So each hook size requires a different set pressure, and this will take a lot of time to get used to..
