    Hi All!

I just wanted to share with everyone a great experience I had last week guiding. I had the privilege of guiding Skip Herman, Tom McGuane, Dave Grusin, Tom Brokaw, and George Anderson! All very nice guys and excellent fly fishermen!

We did our first trip on the Missouri River. We floated from Mid Canon to Prewett Creek. We got to the river at about 9:00 am and there were clouds of tricos coming off! We missed most of the good stuff on this hatch but the spinner fall made for some very fun fishing when you could find some pods that were up sipping on all of the spinners. I had George Anderson in my boat on the Missouri and I must say the guy is a riot to fish with. He could spot fish eating so fast it was unbelievable! I know that George has taken a lot of heat on this board for different things, but I am here to tell you that he is a great guy and his heart is in the right place. When he is fishing to a big fish he is one of the most intense people I have ever been around! We spotted a big rainbow that was up eating some PMD’s

Dave, Mr. Anderson was using a Loomis and I think it was a GLS??? Not 100% sure on the last part, but it was definitely a Loomis.

    Joel,

sounds like a wonderful (work) experience!
Weren’t you by the way nervous by having such experienced clients on board?

    About the rod:
I remember George Anderson being a Loomis fan. I think I still got an issue of Fly Fisherman from the mid 1980’s with an article about the favourite #4 rod of some fly fishing hot shots.
