slow but sweet. I have to agree with Lee.

Some of the best images I do believe I have seen within any content web or print.

The format is cool because you get the feel of a magazine yet you can incorporate the media elements within the site. I have the template to create the online ezine and it is amazingly simple to do.  I am trying to figure out how to change it up so that it breaks the mold of the other ezines we have seen.

I want to hang this one on my wall. Another great shot, I love the different directions you take us when shooting flies. (and i just love spiders , wets and soft hackles so this is my favorite one yet.)

Another way to remove what is holding the fly is something Chad Sincox showed us a while back. Hang it from mono filament, which makes retouch minimal. You might feel like you shot it upside down but the end viewer will never know.

    I love the shots.

Along side with cloning which you might see some patterns emerge – try playing with the healing brush in photoshop. It combines cloning with some sort of mathematical blending and it does backgrounds much cleaner. Recreating the hook can be a bear.

Do you have an example of the dead spaces you were talking about with the masking and healing brush? I can work you through that without any issues. We might need to soften the brushes a little but it is hard to say without an example. I havent been behind the computer as much but if you send me an email we can look at it.

We’ll have to plan a trip. That is a great area with great scenery and big fish to be had.

Bug Spray – Can the trout smell it? I do not use the stuff but a guy I fish with uses it all the time. Every time we go fishing, we get skunked.

Talking about fit. I started the day shooting my Rem 1100 which I had and had not altered since I was a kid. It is to small for this type of shooting but feels real good in the field when slinging it up fast to hit a bird. I’ll have to change my ways on that.

Something that I didnt mention was all the different games you can play with a shotgun. I didnt know that there were so many ways to play and what the difference was between all of it. I use to hear people talking about “Trap” and “Skeet” shooting, then started hearing people talk about “Sporting Clays”. I thought it was all the same deal but they are all completely different.

I was rocking on the skeet this weekend because it was more like shooting quail, pheasant and chuckars which is all I had had ever done (I started that when I was 6). I was averaging 22 out 25 per round. This was the first time I had shot skeet. A couple of weeks ago we went and shot Sporting Clays which was much more difficult but more fun to myself. That day I hit a mere 47 out of 100 and Dad smoked me on that getting a 90 out of the 100.

I have yet to try the other games “Trap” and “5 stand” and I do not even know what else there is. But I know that I want to learn. There were years (from the mid 80s to 2000 that I did not even shoot a gun because it just wasnt for me) But with family getting back into the trials part with the dogs, it has got be back into the game.

It is more fun than golf and closer to my roots. Thanks everyone for your help.

Is there an American Angler Branding, Layout and Standard’s Guide? I know many magazines have them but this could be a good way for some folks to submit a final article and fit the guidelines of the magazine. It would look great for the writer and be less labor for the Magazine.

    I love the Layout.

There are suppose to be some wade spots on the Toccoa. What are the directions to those spots?

I have floated it with friends in the past but want to stop by and cast a while, while driving to Blue Ridge. I have never waded any of it.

John – your collecting sound like mine. I lost most of my knives in a fire and those Hen and Roosters are my favorite. I do not have the heart to replace them. I probably had about 250 cones of different brands and sizes. And I am up to 7 Scott Rods – Love em.

Aaron, I would say it is hard to release, sea trout, reds or flounder. It is easy for me now with a developed shrimp allergy. Any thing you catch while fishing that area is like catching MAN bait.

Growing up with a monthly trip with Grand Dad to Steinahatchee Florida made these a staple of my diet. The good thing about fishing for all this, I know what the fish eat and I can manage to get around the Shrimp. I cannot even eat grouper or smoked mullet any more.

Enjoy those flounder, they are as good as it gets. And in that area – they are big – so expect a good fight. Not the fun top water battle but a tugging battle to the bottom – keep the rod tip down because they will snap it. Fun stuff.

    Ethan… Welcome.

Another designer on board. We tend to bring a different light to the photo aspect of the site. These folks are great and I have learned quite a bit through the Photography section of this board. It is great to have a place that is educational as well as fun to read.

If you need anything – I mean anything – just let me know. I can probably round it up. I have access to everything from pull behind cookers and smokers to extra sleeping bags, cots and tents. Having family that host events like this for hunting really helps at times.
