Only problem with a high rez FF camera is the cheap lenses tend to fall down under the pressure.

25 MP’s will push a lens to the limits of what’s possible on 35mm and you will get away with nothing.

As a Sony user myself, I would like to know where these cheap lenses are, as I would like to stock up on a few. 😮

I think opinions and preferences are great. I also know that when you speak to a manufacturer of any product, thay will always tell you why the product that thay make or represent , is the best. Opinions are what keeps the shelves full of products, and if a product is not worthy, it will not last. I think all the companies mentioned make a good product. I say , buy what you like, and you will be happy.

I had to go for the title. I flew to Miami last year, and watched the sooners lose. I would love to see them take it this year, and I can try

Well , I am sad to leaving Vancouver tomorrow. I love this place, and I will definitly be back at various times of the year. I really enjoyed the fishing, and the Fraser river is a beautiful place if you ever get a chance to fish it. I fished the lower river for Sturgeon, with some great catches in the 7ft. 200# range. I was with some of the guys from the band I work for, and they also had a blast. I also fished the upper section of the river for salmon, and that was a blast also. I wish I could show you the expression on a guys face when he set the hook on a 25 0r 30# chinook salmon for the first time. I love to see other people catch a big fish.

TWiles, I am pretty excited, and I start out tomorrow on the Fraser River . I am not sure of the location for Friday’s trip, but I am sure it will be great also.

seems to me like fly fishing meets engineering. I hate when people try to reinvent the wheel.
I know the say it is less invasive on the fish, but let me stick a hook in his face at any spot, and I guarantee I will get the same response :-/

I would suggest going to Napa Auto Parts and buying what is called a toilet paper filter. I think this is the best system for spraying, and I have sprayed 1000’s of gallons of finishes on cabinets. I know you will experiment, but keep in mind that it does not require high pressure to spray, although a high volume of air is needed. Good Luck.

I can tell you that 4 guys on the crew that I tour with just bought the Canon G10, and I have been very impressed with the photos. I think it is a great camera for someone who wants to take a few quality snapshots.

I have the olympus 850 waterproof and I think it is a very good product for it’s intended use. I think a lot of people expect too much from a point and shoot. I read a lot of the reviews on these things, and a lot of us don’t take the time to learn everything that the camera is capable of, we just point and shoot. 😉 I keep mine in the boat only to capture memories and such, and if I want quality shots I take the dslr. I think the Olympus that I have is pretty good camera.

Thanks for the review, and the pics. I really wanted to attend, but I have been out of town for 5 weeks, and still do not get home for 2 more. I hope to make it next year, but may is too good of a month in this business.
BTW, is anybody drinking Landshark? Jimmy is a friend of ours, and he sends us plenty all the time. It’s pretty good. 😉

As for the boots being too small, I order a size and a 1/2 larger than what I wear for a normal shoe.  I wear a 9 1/2 to a 10 in street shoes and but 11’s for wading boots.  I’m going to research the korkers more along with the cloudveil.  Also the Simms will be re-evaluated.  Thanks guys, tough decision when buying new boots.  I’ll be trying them out in Montana in October, just bought killer airfare from Akron to Bozeman, $206.00 round trip. 🙂  Unbelieveable price!

I agree on buying larger, I wear a 13 in a street shoe, so I buy a 14 in wading boots. I had worn the first pair about 10 times, and they drew up to about a 12. I think it’s the material this boot is made of, and I have tried several different methods of drying them. I have purchased a pair of stretchers, which I will put in the boots when I take them off, and let them dry with them inside and see if that helps.

I am on my second pair of Korkers, and having the same problem with these. I had to send the first pair back because they drew up and were too small after about 10 trips . I am noticing my new pair doing the same thing.
    Anybody have any ideas?

I would say it depends on your plans for the future. I think the design on the skiff is suitable for pretty flat water, but nothing more. I would say go with a drifter if possible, but hey, it’s your call. I know from past experiences that limitations are for the birds.
Somebody with a personal experience with a skiff may chime in, and say you would be fine on any type of water. :-/
    Good luck ! 😉

Juan , I would say it depends on the rod. I think if it is a soft 8 , you might be ok, but I doubt you will get the feel that you are looking for. A full sinking line does cast a lot more like a floating line than say a sink tip.
