Has anyone rowed the headhunter skiff? I fish out of the White and Norfork rivers in Arkansas and from what I can tell, this boat would be perfect for our waters. I am not a guide and this would basically be for my friends and I, because they say you dont buy a boat for you, because your friends will enjoy it more.

I would say it depends on your plans for the future. I think the design on the skiff is suitable for pretty flat water, but nothing more. I would say go with a drifter if possible, but hey, it’s your call. I know from past experiences that limitations are for the birds.
Somebody with a personal experience with a skiff may chime in, and say you would be fine on any type of water. :-/
    Good luck ! 😉

    Cole,

The headhunter is a great tailwater boat. It is not such a great freestone boat if that freestone river has much in the way of rapids. They can take on quite a bit of water in my experience in Rivers with rougher water.

They are a nice boat to row though for sure.

    Just my two bits.

    Joel
