MemberI have always tried to look up to somebody as a mentor, and I have learned several things on my own. I started in the cabinet buisness sweeping floors, loading cabinets etc. I managed to get a position as a helper to an installer , in which he took me under his wing and taught me a lot. I still was not satisfied. I took a few damaged cabinets home and took them completely apart . I decided I did not like the system they used and began using my own style ,

MemberSony also just came out with 135mm, 1.8 Zeiss lense for 1400.00. I looked at it and the 85mm, and they are sweet.

MemberGood stuff, guiding is definately a job where a bad day or a bad guide, sucks.

MemberI would definately give the T3 a look. I like it as well or better than the Helios, and the price makes it even better.

MemberI have been talking to a few people about this, and my understanding is the line-x product can be sprayed slick. I know of another local guide that just bought a new Hyde , and he had this sprayed on immediately. I am thinking about it myself. I will contact him, and post his thoughts and maybe a cost etc.

MemberI guess I have three jobs. I call myself a drift boat guide, but about 4 months out of the year I have to make a living, which I do as a bodyguard for a rock and roll band. ;D I also dabble on the farm at home. (cattle).
I even get to fish once in awhile. 😉jarrod white
MemberMike Anderson, if I were in your shoes, I would definately go for it on the Canon.
