don’t get me wrong…I would tie on one if it were given to me, but they are a bit too proud of their product for me. I’ll stick w/ my $150 Peak and be fine. Rotary, bobbin holder and a solid platform…what else do you need?
D.Thanks for the suggestions y’all. But the wife decided on Naia, you know how it goes. We expect her to top out around 50lbs., let’s hope. And Neal, your desires may come true if this one does not stop yelping all the time. This is our first dog, and it is truly a learning experience w/ a stubborn pup.
D.I like the ice dub idea. I have tied buggers w/ it, but it got everywhere and I did not have real good results w/ it. But I think I will try it on the pupa. Thanks for the idea.

Softhackles certainly do great where we are headed. You ever try any of the thin skin (I think that is what it is called) to make ribbed bodies? Maybe a better question would be what do you use for your pupa bodies?AO,

Try any w/ peacock herl yet? They look good, but for me, the herl does not extend far enough to represent legs. Remember the naturals we pulled out downriver from Cold Hole?

We are completely on the same page. I was just staring at our new dog this morning, and my wife looks at me, then simply says, “NO!” I didn’t say a word, but she knew. I just gotta wait until my new girl gets some more body to her coat; hopefully, that way I will not get caught.
D.I agree DA! They look as though they are trying to warm up w/ their wings so close in, or maybe all watching the same thing to the left, despite the aluminum enema! Also looks like they are sitting on the crapper in unison. Not a pleasing thought for dinner, but I bet they taste awesome nonetheless.

I have tied on a Peak for a couple of years now, and I have no reason to change it now. You could always get another set of jaws and/or the “c” clamp. Why dump the cash on a new one? Especially for a Renzetti? It seems that w/ Renzettis, folks either hate them or love them, no gray on that issue.My $0.02, just get add-ons for what you already have.

You can buy a stand which holds the beer, plus it has a wide base so the whole contraption will not fall over. Or, you can just shove an open can up the bird’s arse.That bird is rather intimidating. I would hate to be on the receiving end of that beak! Great stuff Kendal. Do you mind sharing the story behind that particular image?

DustyThere went that idea! I’ve worked in the fly shop in BassPro and at Orvis, and if you had bought it at either of those, I would be able to make some suggestions, but now, if I were you, I would just walk in there being as nice as you can be and see how good their customer service is?
BTW, is the fly shop named hawk something or something hawk?
