    Damn Eric,
I would buy a print of that.
    Well done.

I agree with shortening the axle length for skinny trails. Have you thought of looking on EBay for a used Yakima kayak saddle, like is mounted on roof racks, to carry and secure the boat?

Those are great shots Neal. I like how your focus is sharp in the right places on the fish…something I am still battling.

    Neal,
While I was shooting my dog I was thinking of how nice a tri or monopod would be, but your suggestion of anticipating is a good one. That shot of Chloe is great…looks very sharp on my end. I still need to read and digest the manual for the new app to learn how to use it more effectively.

With the above photo I did not use any post, but looking at it now I think it is a bit baked. I may have added a bit too much in the saturation and other features of Pro Camera. I am using CS5 now and will do as you suggested.

As shot, the file was only 2.0 MB…how cool would it be if the iPhone did RAW?

I like the camera Neal…good suggestion. Had a bit of trouble trying to get focus on a moving dog’s eye, but still not bad for a camera phone I think.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! And those are some great looking images as well. I was hoping you would let me know what you are using Neal. I will give those a look.
    Many thanks!

    Zach,
If you are not heart-set on the clip-on style, look for a 50% off coupon in Sunday’s paper for Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, etc. and get yourself an Ott-Lite. I love mine and wish I had got it sooner.

Thanks guys for all of the suggestions. Y’all had some really good ideas. I will have to use them all and come up with something. And tomatillo sauce is very good. I appreciate it!

Nope, Mark, no comment. You did not know any better. But, if you pull that again you’re going in the drink.

Hilarious, I just walked away from the TV and the kids and I saw this too.

I love the History Channel, and the Scinece channel as well, esp. when they show How Its Made. The wife cannot stand these shows, so it serves as a good way to get some quiet time.

Do you make homemade salsa, Dave?

    John,
Take a look at the below link:
    http://www.adambarkerphotography.com/

I believe Adam is an IA member. Go to his blog, look on the left side of the page, and you will be able to sort through filters he uses and why. He uses a lot of Singh Ray filters, which can get pricey, but they do the job very well from what I have seen. He also has a DVD out on the subject. I have it and would recommend it.

    Hey Bill,
Your guide was Jaime, yes? He and I went to guide school together many moons ago. I have never met another human being that knows more about fishing than him. You lucked into a good guide my friend. Got any more pics?

“Zipping My Fly” by Rich Tosches – Just about the time you think he’s going to rattle off a page without a joke, BAM, another joke. I was glad to finish that and start on “Inventing Montana” by Ted Leeson.

You better send that to me (Leeson) when you are done. I have some books in trade.

I am pretty sure we can be more help with the fishing than the job search! Double-dip anybody?

Listen to him Chad! He is the only guy that is more plugged in than myself re. N. Texas fishing. Also, buy a boat!!!

in reply to: Just moved to Fort Worth #44520

Yes, Chad, Backwoods is your best bet, unless you want to go to Cabela’s.

Head to the Brazos R. below the HWY 16 bridge, outside of Graham, TX. many different species there. Or, you can come my way and hit Lake Ray Roberts. And there are many other options in between.

    Brian,
Awesome as always. When are you going to build me the perfect Holga? Actually, I would settle for a mid-range Holga.

I always enjoy seeing your images. Please keep it up!!!

Thanks, guys, for the info. As it turns out, the wife and I will be joining them in Branson. I did not think we were going to be able to swing this trip, but some things have changed. So, I will be in Branson from Aug 3rd-9th. I will have one day of fishing with the family, and I will likely take them to Taney, but afterward, I would love to explore some other rivers.

Kyle- Is there any piece of water we could go to to hunt cutthroats & brookies specifically, or some monster browns?

    Many thanks,
    D.
