    Hey guys,

I just moved to downtown fort worth and was just wondering if anybody on here is my neighbor. Also, looking for some good outfitters and fishing spots. Thanks for any info.

By the way.. anybody know where a recent college grad can find a job. BA in political science and public relations. If you know of anything it would be much appreciated.

This is great place to start for North Texas fishing (and music, beer, etc.): http://texasflycaster.com/

I’ll have to defer to my Ft. Worth brethren regarding outfitters, because I’m not sure who is still over there (Backwoods, maybe?). If you find yourself in Dallas for any reason, Tailwaters in Uptown is a great store with a helpful crew.

Yes, Chad, Backwoods is your best bet, unless you want to go to Cabela’s.

Head to the Brazos R. below the HWY 16 bridge, outside of Graham, TX. many different species there. Or, you can come my way and hit Lake Ray Roberts. And there are many other options in between.

I am pretty sure we can be more help with the fishing than the job search! Double-dip anybody?

Listen to him Chad! He is the only guy that is more plugged in than myself re. N. Texas fishing. Also, buy a boat!!!

Try below the dam of Lake Benbrook (15 mintues from Downtown) — You can park along the side of the road leading to Pecan Valley Golf Course and walk down to the river.  The 1st 100-200 yards below the dam are not fishable, but the water flatens out and is a great place to sight cast to carp and there are plenty of bass and sunfish willing to eat your flies.

Check it out on Google Earth.

The Brazos at Old Dennis bridge in Brock, Texas is about 20 minutes closer than the Hwy 16 bridge and I think the fishing is

Don’t go to Cabelas, swing by Tailwaters. We have the best fly selection in town and would love to meet you.

The best outfitter in Fort Worth is Backwoods on West 7th.
