    Thanks John,
What is your opinion of the Canon 100 mm macro?

Just added Salmon R. to the bucket list

    Hey Lee,
We are all to young to have a bucket list! Nonetheless, a gorgeous fish.

Damn bro, I’d be proud too. I would also be sending those numbers to my local fiberglass replica artist. That is one certifiable HAWG! Congrats.

Sounds good Zach, but vanilla? Is this typical of salsa recipes and I just never caught on?

O.K. Gents, pardon the ignorance and keep the laughter to a dull roar, but is the only difference between a 50, 60, and 100 mm macro the focal distance? i.e. how far the lens can get from the subject and still be in focus?

There is no denying his skill and influence. Personally, I know I benefited from his videos and books.

In your experience, Kevin, what is the minimal distance this rod will load? Again referring to carp fishing, many times I am casting inside of 15 ft. What are your thoughts on the Bluegill as a carp rod?

in reply to: Sage Smallmouth Rod #29783

Thanks guys. I have all but decided to get the Bluegill

in reply to: Sage Smallmouth Rod #29780

I still have not been able to find anyone who is selling the Bluegill Sage. Any suggestions?

    Thanks guys,
I looked for the Bluegill. I saw some references to it, but no pics or detailed reviews. I guess it still has not hit the websites yet in full force.

    Thanks Grant,
You know which river I am thinking of using it on, so your input is helpful. I am also interested in the rod for a good carp rod, but I did not know if it loaded well w/ little line out. Some casts are only 15 or so feet, but it sounds like this rod would be well suited for that as well.

    Thanks Mark,
W/ the chart. and yellow, which is the top and which is the bottom. I know the rule for placement, but when I look at my bucktails I do not know which is “darker.”
    Thanks,

I wonder if some day this will be us. I should count myself lucky if it comes to fruition. I really like this image Neal; I like the thoughts it evokes: simplicity and a worry-free existence.

I am also quite fond of the statue. Good to see you turned a bad fishing trip into something enjoyable!

Neal sent yours to Dusty via 2 day mail

    Neal,
I believe he was addressing Nick D.

Thanks Neal. When you get a chance, can you pm or email me your number. No hurry. I know I still need to get the ttl. I just wanted to get some ideas before making purchases.

in reply to: Carp Fly Swap – Sign up #56458

I could do that. First, though, I need to figure out the lighting for pics at my tying desk. The pics I have taken in the past came out horribly. But until I figure that out, have you seen the magazine Hatches? That is where I got the bug from, and there is a pic by pic tutorial.

So I’ve got a year to tie up a dozen bugs? Bet I could handle that. You diggin’ the brown, or would you prefer olive?
