Here are a few pictures of Savannah I took this weekend.  Unfortunately I wasn’t able to go fishing as planned (weather) so had plenty of free time on my hands.  Savannah is a beautiful town with lots of history and many old buildings.  With it’s many town squares, statues and old homes it is ripe for photographing some interesting scenes.

I wonder if some day this will be us. I should count myself lucky if it comes to fruition. I really like this image Neal; I like the thoughts it evokes: simplicity and a worry-free existence.

I am also quite fond of the statue. Good to see you turned a bad fishing trip into something enjoyable!

Nice stuff! Gives a feel for what it might be like to visit and makes me want to go! I’m partial to #3 .. Lots of ‘character’ in the shot! Thanks for sharing!

I have to say that number 1 is an absolute stunner…

Every time I look away from it, I think her face changes expression, the background color is stunning, the impression of movement and it is one of the few pictures I have seen where the subject is leaving the scene, but still tells the story…

A joy to look at, I would like to blow it up and put it on the wall…

Some great shots in there Neal. I, too, love the first shot, it is fantastic. I can’t say that it is a great capture as it is more of a great photograph that preserves a real moment. Feels as though she is getting ready to walk by me and it is easy to feel the emotions that your subject may have been felling. Personally, I feel that everything in that shot is just right and you did a great job of seeing it, setting up for it and then releasing the shutter for preserving a moment. You should print that one and hang it on your photography wall. I do love candid street photography, just like this one 🙂
