Nevermind, I went back and read the whole post this time. Amazing how much more effective it is to read it in its entirety. Does that collection come with olive, or is it available otherwise?

Awesome fly, no doubt! I tie some that are similar to this myself, but my question is this:

Where in the hell did you find this, and how do I get one?

    Neal,
I need to send you my Blackberry so you can figure out the best way for me to use it like you do your iPhone!

I did hear, though, that some Macs had been infected, but evidently it was due to the users downloading pirated software. Karma?

Thanks Bob! I imagine most of my use would be on lakes, or flats as well, so I do no think the small loss of maneuverability would be that tragic for me.

Thanks Cameron. I will look into renting one locally, but if not I might have to come see you for a while 🙂

Good points, guys. Would the 14.5 be harder to maneuver than the 12, or is the difference negligible? good looking ride, Cameron!

Oh that sucks! There go all the fish, all the native born. I wonder if any fish would be able to find some safe haven from the water flow? I also would imagine the lower and upper foot bridges are now only memories. Now we are going to have to start over? And this is really unfortunateas the quality of fish caught had been on a very steady incline, for us at least. I also wonder if Sid’s shop is still standing?
    Thanks for the info., Cole.

Good for you Cameron! I knew you would end up getting one. I am looking to get one as well, in July. But I am swaying between the tandem or two singles. After all, sometimes is good to be alone. Let us know your thoughts on the new yak!

That is a great class, Mick. I assume you are taking it with R. Woodruff? I have taken his course twice, and I learned more than I could ever convey. I have a friend down there as we type, and he told me the whole place is closed off to traffic. It is completely flooded, far worse than last year. I also heard the wooden foot bridges could have been sent down river. That place will not be fishable for at least 3 or 4 weeks. I would not make any plans for the upcoming holiday weekend.

    Damn, I love Macs!

They are opening the Spillway gates today, which will flood all of Spillway Creek. They are opening all eight gates, and this will create about 4 times as much flow as was had last year when they did this. I was due to head up there this Saturday, but as this has happened, and they will not even let people down there, we have had to cancel our lodge arrangements. It will likely be weeks before the LMF is fishable again.

    Chad-Let’s go to Fork!

Wes-We have been fishing there for years, and done very well. My comments were not meant to say BB is not a good fishery, just that it was good that a lot of people do not hot spot on the internet when it comes to Broken Bow. I was trying to get Chad to abort the discussion and call me instead.

Nice fish, Lando. But I would personally be interested in how you have managed to keep your dog from biting/destroying your flylines! 😉

    Great stuff!

    Chad,
To my knowledge, there are only a few of us on this board that fish BB, some in the Metroplex, others in the OKC-Tulsa area. It is not one of those areas which shows up too much on fishing chat rooms, and for good reason.

    You know my digits.

Congratulations Mike! And a cover, well done! If you have that thread book marked or saved somewhere, could you send it to me. I have looked but been unsuccessful.

    Again, nice work!

Well done, my friend! Have you already built him his first glass rod?

in reply to: Fishing for Buffalo in Texas #67436

And by the looks of it, you put her on your BP rod. For Shame!! If she knew any better she would kick you in the twig ‘n’ berries herself.

I think you made the cast, hooked the Buffalo, let her fight it for a minute, then took the rod back and landed the fish. Those are some nice Buffs though. I heard they come out very well if properly smoked! But I hope I never get that hungry.

    overpricedability  😉

Tells me something about yard/parking lot fly fishers.
    Roy

My Sharkskin makes the same noise when I am fishing as it does when I am practicing my casts. Perhaps I should sell it as I typically fish lakes??
