MemberThe concept of listening to a good interview on my ipod is appealing, but I have never gotten around to it. I am sure I will one of these days. I know I can listen on the computer, too, and that is what will most likely occur.
Edit: Listened to Whiting interview last night.

MemberIf you already have CS4 for a PC, Adobe will switch versions for you (for free, if I am not mistaken) so long as you provide a certificate of destruction. Call them for the specifics of the deal. If you have an older version, they will do a switch/upgrade for the usual upgrade fee.
I did a switch and an upgrade, so there was a fee with my changeover.

MemberThose are all different fish. We boated around 30 on the first day. None smaller than 15lbs.
I can’t be the only one that immediately opened up a new tab and went directly to travelocity.com…
My tab was already open for 1/14-16. Going for a duck hunt somewhere south of Houma but will take the long rod this time, too. We hunt in the am so I hope to break off for some fishing in the afternoon. Really looking forward to the trip.
Unless I get a guide, I will be the blind squirrel looking for a nut when it comes to the saltwater fishing part.

MemberDavid, I am in Charlotte, a few miles SE of downtown. Feel free to send me a note if you want to wet a line sometime or need some info about Charlotte.
For trout, I tend to fish small NC streams that require too much driving and a few miles of hiking. It would obviously involve some extra windshield time for you, but I would be glad to have you come along. There are also delayed harvest options, if that is your preference.
I need to fish sometime with Cameron, too.

MemberWith only 1/2 day, you might want to check into the private water on the properrty. I have not personally fished it, but I hear there are some impressive bass in those waters.

I would hope that there is at least one guide on the park waters that would be able to accomodate a flyfisherman.

MemberI caught this shower one morning while fishing in the middle of a remote PA lake.

MemberHey, thanks for the thoughts. My new D300s will be here tomorrow.
Sounds like everything should be ok from a weather standpoint if I don’t get too crazy with downpours. (Still, I don’t know if I will ever get over my fear of salt air and electronics directly at the surf line).Great images posted above, as well. Thanks for the examples.
Cheers,
Aaron

MemberI have a slight reel fetish. I own a couple of Hardy reels, one stays on a fiberglass rod and one is matched up with a bamboo rod.

MemberThanks for that link.

Member2.5 hours drive time (+/-) to most trout destinations, plus the hike of 1/2 hour to 1.5 hours.

MemberIMHO, New Belgium 1554 rates a 9.5, while New Belgium Fat Tire is a 7.0.

MemberWait until it is completely dry, which will depend on how much water got in the camera.
