I was in Venice Louisiana for a couple days this past week. Unfortunately the wind was bad enough that I never even picked up the fly rod, but we did fairly well with artificials on light tackle. I cant wait to get back there under better conditions. These fish would be a blast on the fly.

Those are all different fish. We boated around 30 on the first day. None smaller than 15lbs.

My tab was already open for 1/14-16.  Going for a duck hunt somewhere south of Houma but will take the long rod this time, too.  We hunt in the am so I hope to break off for some fishing in the afternoon.  Really looking forward to the trip.

Unless I get a guide, I will be the blind squirrel looking for a nut when it comes to the saltwater fishing part.
