MemberI often use sites like Sierra Trading Post for the peripheral things like the crazy deals they have on Smith Sunglasses. What I like is to be e mailed when something I am interested in goes on sale or bigger sale. I like shopping carts that let me save my cart for later checkout instead of clearing it out so I have to start all over if I have to go away from the site for an extended period.
I look at every single variety of fly tying hook / materials, but know the exact pack or vest I want to buy before i go online.
It is a tie between price and service as far as number one influence to purchase online.Shannon Drawe
MemberOK, so it has google adsense advertising on it too. Could we contact google and at least get them alerted?

MemberAnother + for the 600SP. It was the only hook I could find to consistently hold these loco palmetto bass we fish for here in the spring.

MemberYou could look at these. They have been upgraded, but generally the cameras are still there and the same. http://texasflycaster.com/?s=waterproof+cameras

MemberI have an older version of that camera, and it’s still working quite well. I use it strictly for podcasting so I am not sure what viewing on TV would look like, but with the HD it may be fine.

MemberHow old are you there Lawrence? Reason I ask, my wife did a little dance when her prediction came true when I turned 40 and suddenly I was picking up her magnifiers. She laughed. That sucked.
I have tried those wet and sticks, and they don’t. I think they are intended for non-curved lenses. I am using those that clamp on to your sunglass frames and are spring loaded – flipping up and down. I found some for less than 1/2 price in the bargain cave at Cabela’s the other day and bought them out. Yes, the are in your line of sight, but you get used to them – like shaggy eyebrows I guess. Or you can not clip them on until you need them.
Prescription sunglasses would be a huge financial loss if you lost them on the water.
OR, just move to saltwater and never tie on anything smaller than a 6 EVER AGAIN.

MemberThe math on thousands of rod tubes is … prohibitive. Maybe take the bargain on a good TFO rod, and go over to REC Components and order a tube custom made to fit your rod. That’s what I do.

MemberI tend to leave the audio off these days as so many videos are ruined by bad music and audio. So, I have no complaints about sound, and respect for the video.

MemberSaw two of them sitting on the counter at BP the last time I was there – last week. Closeout at 219. I assume that is a good price.

MemberDividers. Rearrangeable and don’t trap sand like foam.

MemberGood stuff! Thanks for starting this one Dusty. When you guys say “boat” what exactly do you mean?

MemberKINGS OF LEON – record of the year! Told ya’.

MemberPS – Why didn’t anybody suggest going to salt? Shannon

MemberIt looks like your decision is made, but this place makes me feel excited like a little kid – http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/visitorcenters/tffc/ . This weekend is especially important as there will be a series of lectures today and tomorrow on the state of Texas fisheries by biologists – both fresh and saltwater. Look for an article about it in Lone Star Outdoor News’ next issue.

MemberGreat American company. Only thing I can afford is their baseball / fishing and Bush Hats, but they last forever. I had a problem with one hat a few years ago, sent it back, and they sent me a new one.

MemberI am wondering what these mysterious foam cutters look like? Must be pretty easy to copy, or they would show photos of them on the site wouldn’t they?
Shannon Drawe
MemberDang! Mick always scores well – must’ve been a nice boy. Got a fly line – Bass of course, and DVD – “Rivers of a Lost Coast”.
Shannon Drawe
MemberFrom what I can gather, they instituted the rule because of 10′ flipping rods that were being used way back when by west coast bass tournament fishermen.
