here are some that came out from the air show mentioned above
pics were taken on the Andres AFB runway’s F-15 Hangers:

on a side note, i’d just purchased this camera and forgot about the autofocus option. thus only a few shots were in focus-that plus the planes were flying very close and very fast and i was a bit intoxicated

the wife doesn’t fish = non fishing related
she’ll be in hotlanta tomorrow for business.

she plans on going to some place she saw on the food network’s DDD – cabbage town market or something.

anyone been there and can make some suggestions?

clever way to put the arch in the scud

never been a fan of fishing scuds, and thus, never really tied them.
    no pics from me

i donated a pile of velvia and provia (did i get the names correct?) to one of my students a few years ago when tought highschool

gave my n6006 to a friend in idaho too

i wish digital cameras were around a long time ago. i’m still angered by carrying a framepack full of film to africa in ’98 when i could have just had a memory card

since you mentioned grips, the joan wulff winston series has a smaller grip and a thumb depression for the ladies-price is a little high for a starter rod for a single trip

you can sand down the cork to fit smaller hands, though i would not attempt this unless you know

i have a 9′ 5wt orvis silver label that my wife uses when we go out.
the length and weight are a good balance, it has enough flex to keep her entertained with smaller fish and allow ease of casting from a canoe.

hope that fish produces some viable offspring with its survival skills.

tiny elvis would say that fish is HUGE

living in dc isn’t that bad, there is a large diversity of fishing opportunities

we have the bay 45 min to the east, the ocean 2 hours more
    mountains an hour west
the potomac, rappahannock, shenandoa(s) all within an hour

Pa, western Md, Wva are all close.

if i had to start over again with gear, i’d go with:

    waterproof point and shoot
less expensive nikon DSLR and get more lenses.

i spent a lot on the D70 and haven’t bought a new lens in a loooong time.
i’ve been getting all my add on stuff on ebay from DSLR sensor cleaner, lens covers, caps, tripods etc.

i had my camera stolen from my pocket at a DMB show a few years back, i was talking to a cop at the time too! AMEX sent me a check after i filed a police report. i had bought it the day before

we have/had a microwavable dog toy that stays warm for a few hours.
our pup liked to snuggle with it when he was a pup in his jail, the warmth was supposed to remind him of his litter mates.

other than that, we ignored him when he would cry and yelp.

^ i call that ADD publishing

I can’t read/look at a page that is broken up like a checkerboard. my wife had some chick mag on the table, i picked it up, it was so busy i didn’t bother looking at the hotties.

i haven’t read fish and fly in years but really enjoyed the travel stories. + photography

    i like
-a destination article-be it exotic or somewhere i can go
-an educational article-be it on fish, bugs, gear, hydrology, etc. something i can read and learn from and share with others
    -an essay by rotated authors

i don’t like pompous or arrogant authors, just someone who is educated and well informed in our lifestyle and can present it to us in away to keep me entertained, interested, and paying money to read what they wrote

i wear a salmon and grey colored whitewater dry top
    looks ugly, keeps me dry

i’m more concerned with a fish feeling my presence than seeing if i blend in

    just my 2cent
