    Thanks Zach! I hope it wasn’t taken as a criticism as the site has always been top notch. I really thought it was my relative lack of tech savvy that was the problem.

    @Zach
    In addition to all that has been said pay attention to the bulged water in front of obstructions such as rocks and logs. Most of my big smallies have come from that type of water. And you can almost never go wrong with sliders and poppers at dusk.
    @Rob I’d love to pick your brain regarding the Upper Potomac and boat access. Since I can’t seem to find/figure out any PM capacity please email me. Johntrish@comcast.net

    Thanks for all the input gang. I finally went with the Prevail system as it was a good fit for other projects and could spread the cost to the “things for the wife column” instead of the My fishing stuff column.

    Another nice tie. Unfortunately my annual November Rockfish outting is not going to happen (thanks Sandy) otherwise might have to add some of these to the box.

    Love the shot Michael. Now with all this talk about fishing dogs I think Zach needs to do IA dog collars.

    Tim,
    You sir are a light weight!

    Salmon River.  Fishing the lower section with 8wts, floating line and no weight.  The fresh fish crush bright streamers so hard some of the takes almost pull the rod out of your hand.  That fish TAPED out at 40 and like 1/4 inches.  It was huge.

    Must fish there………

    Awsome report/article!
    I am aching for a MT back country fix, even if it means almost getting run over by the wagon going to Silver Tip.

    Gotta love Sea-Tac.
    Been 20years since I was there (also a nonfishing trip). Loved the “underground tour” and food and music at Doc Manards.

    Great images!!!!!!

    Gotta love second meadow! Probably my second favorite MT “backcountry location” next to Salmon Forks in The Bob.

    Having read the stories of other years where climbers never made it back from the mountain I have serious respect for what you achieved!
