Too strange. I was in JoAnne’s yesterday to pick up some needle threaders (make stringing flies a little easier) and saw a rack of this stuff.

I picked up a few spools thinking I could use it somewhere on some fly or another.

    Abe,
I cannot imagine the loss and pray that I never have to know first hand what it’s like.

Most of my rods are somewhat medium action (Scott G2, Sage SLT, Redington R3).

I’m not a good enough caster to honestly be able to tell the difference in one weight rating (3-4, or 5-6).

    Guys,
To be clear, I was not trying to say Lefty was part of the problem.

Donny Beaver and his like are going to continue to try to usurp access from the public and make a buck doing it.

It seems as if the fishing tackle manufacturers would be allies in this effort with the “regular Joe” fishermen.

As much as I hate to say it, some shops deserve to go out of business.

A lot of people are going to get rich over the next few years by labeling their products as “green”.

I’m not sure if cork is any more or less green than hardwood or any other natural product.

Warm days, green leaves on trees, sunshine, fishing, and did I mention warm days?

    I can’t wait.

You guys are killing me!  If my wife sees this post, she’s gonna make me sell it to you, wasn’t real happy when I brought it home. She just doesn’t understand. :-/

Being the kind hearted guy I am, I just can’t stand by and see a fellow fisherman’s marriage go down the tubes.

I have a Scott G2 and it’s my favorite rod.

Sounds like you got a screaming deal.

Enjoy fishing with your new rod.

They said they don’t make a 17″ inch case but their research showed a significant market for the laptop cases in general.

If they really want to sell these things, they need to make a 17″ bag.
