Got a chance to head out for trout for the first time in a while. Indiana doesn’t have much in the way of trout other then a tailwater, which I fished, and some put and take ponds around the state. A buddy and I decided to head down there when it was only about 20 degrees out and 10 degrees with the wind chill. We decided to go with the mind set of go big or go home and started swinging streamers. We were quickly rewarded with some nice plump browns. Here are some of the pics from the day.
This was the smallest brown of the day.

This was average of what we were catching, not bad for a little tailwater.

All in all a great day to get out and get into some nice fish.

Its a Montana Fly pattern. I picked a few up when I was out in Montana this summer when I was at Five Rivers. It’s pretty much a crystal bugger with the head. Lando, the link that you put up is the head that is on the fly. Here is a link to the fly itself.

    Mike,
Brookville is about as close to a home trout water as I have.

I fished with a rep from MFC a few years ago and he gave me some streamers to try out.

Lando, the fly did not spin at all on me. It does have a nice darting action from side to side when stripped. Gives it a nice imitation of a sculphin.
