I found this stuff last year while looking for thread storage solutions at JoAnne Fabrics:

My local JoAnne normally has it for $3.50 per 200 meter spool, with sales about every month for about half off.

Lots of materials at the local craft/fabric store have found there way to my table great place for tying and indicator foam. How does it hold up, do you have some photos.

    Abe,

If you think those flies suck you can send me all of them you are not happy with.

Too strange. I was in JoAnne’s yesterday to pick up some needle threaders (make stringing flies a little easier) and saw a rack of this stuff.

I picked up a few spools thinking I could use it somewhere on some fly or another.

I have not yet tied any nymphs using this stuff for ribbing, but I’ve tied some zebra midges with the silver as a rib.
