TWiles, Randy, and Leonard … Those are all hogs! Nice job all!
First, it’s not my fish, and I don’t know the guy who caught it. One of the guys on another board I post at was visiting family here in Fresno. While here he got a text from a friend who had just caught and released a monster Madison brown.

Nice .. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. It is a consistent producer for me! I actually picked this one up from a local shop … The only real difference is that it has a yellow under body and a dark top.
EDIT: Looks alot like a Bighorn Bugger. Which may be the fly that was referred to as a ‘Bighorn Special’, In this article What Makes The J.J. Special?
Corey, something about this pick says “Gaurd Dog” to me. Â Awesome job. Â This should be on a cover somewhere if you have a vertical version. Otherwise, a full page spread would do nicely ;D.

 :D. I agree he looks pretty damn mean and I love all those teeth. I feel like he gives a nice visual of the kind of predator that your after when thowing streamers. Damn nice work Aaron! Some really really nice stuff in there .. #10 (fisherman in black) really pops out .. Good stuff! The SJ is on my list of destinations next year … Despite the poor condition of the river, it seems like you guys did pretty well!

We are at the opposite end of the season change, going into summer.
Still got beautiful colors though.I agree .. Great colors! I like the greens and oranges in the background! Nice fish.
Corey- Another nice fish and I am guessing an autum splender is the fly? Man you are blessed to be in such a beautiful place. I also noticed in the first pic with the articulated zoo cougar it looks like it’s snowing in the background, that had to a great moment in your fishing memories! Also you have a great eye with the camera my friend!
Thanks …. I really do live in a fantastically beautiful place and am lucky to be close to a river that I love to fish! We get some early snow storms that blow through in October and November which make for some stunning scenery. The color and the light that day was perfect. I took one of my favorite fall pics on that day ( HERE ). The fly is a variant of a J.J. Special, one of my favorite small steamers! Â Here is a video tuorial.
