MemberWell, seeing as how most of you seemed to enjoy photos from here in Oz, I thought I would let you know about Springtime in New Zealand.
I was looking through my photos of last spring’s trip earlier today , and thinking I would usually be there right about now , but as I had a great trip over your way in July, New Zealand will have to wait until next season. The valleys in these shots are all in the Central South Island

Some valleys go on forever

Most fish in this system are rainbows
‘Osama Bin Fishin’
sometimes you can spot a big brownie

In the smaller valleys the going can get tough but The water clarity us UNBELIEVABLE

Ah well……. there’s always next spring 😉

MemberHere is a photo my boss emailed me while I was hard at work! South Island New Zealand. Had to take the rest of the day off 😉

I am going for my first trip in January, as I am FAIRLY certain it won’t snow then, but I just heard that Simon Chew say it is snowing there at the moment…. YUK!

If you get frisked at the border it wasn’t me who said you’re a “West Island poacher who should be banned from our fair shores” 😉 ;DBeautiful day here today but has been snowing in the deep South for the last couple of days.
Not all our fish are big 🙂

Please note that NZ has banned all felt boots so if you are coming to NZ leave your felts at home as they cannot be worn in our rivers.

I have a cunning disguise Si….. I’lll transform myself into a Kiwitroutbum……..

And he’s right folks not ALL NZ trout are big, but they are all beautiful

and most of them are smart.

This one saw Simon coming and was trying to look like a log 😉
Talk soon Si, have fun in the Snow ;D
