MemberUpdated with some video from the trip … The underwater footage was shot by Gary on a gopro. All the other footage was shot by me on a Samsung Note2.

MemberThanks Tim! It was a stellar trip! Looking forward to going back down for Roosters at some point. 🙂

MemberBrad: Thanks for the compliments! All of them are just hand held with a housing. 10mm fisheye and a 8″ dome.

MemberGreat fish! Looks like you guys had a blast!

MemberJay …I was fishing with Gary Bulla ( http://garybulla.com/ ) … he hires all the same local captains/guides every year. He fishes in the fall for dorado/tuna and in the spring for roosters. He also runs a kayak/camp trip down in that area once per year.

MemberThanks Ty! A trip where the only thing required of you is that you fish and have fun, is the perfect place to be a little irresponsible with the tequila. 😉

MemberThanks Randy … I am not sure about the green being seasonal, but we did get a bunch of rain at night for a couple days while we were there. After the rains, in the lower desert areas, everything really colored up. The cactus started blooming, etc. I got the impression that the hill areas stayed green year round. The hilly shots were taken near El Triunfo … http://tinyurl.com/kbkj7te

MemberJay: I agree. Baja is awesome! I would def love to spend more time down that way!
Zach: Thanks man! I agree … the water was so blue and super warm, the green colors of the Dorado really popped against the blue of the water. The bottom shot is a skipjack. We also caught one yellowfin on the trip (it was tasty!), and a couple other types of smaller tuna.

MemberI have wondered about the sport fishing opportunities with snakehead. I do know for a fact that they are tasty! Had snakehead in Thailand last year.

MemberJeremy … Every time I have scrolled through this thread I have stopped to look at that first shot of yours, with the feet, deck, and grass. Super nice!

MemberSuper cool thread … enjoyed reading everything so far. Seems like a pretty big project. How many total hours do you estimate it will take?

Corey – You had like a big road trip planned with sponsorship from Patagonia as I recall–or maybe it was just a project? Is that going off? ZachThat was Bry … I spoke to him. He said you guys talked about it at TH. 🙂

That’s still awesome, Corey. Did you wind up taking that big trip we talked about in the parking lot that day?I dont think that was me .. Maybe Bry?

MemberZach … All the TroutHunter peeps are great! Sounds like it was a fun fish! Its always cool and more satisfying, imo, to catch a fish with teamwork! Â The HF is a fantastic fishery with some really strong, and big, Â fish that are tough to land on your own!
One of my fav shots from the HF last year … A cool team work moment! 🙂
Prob going to disappoint, but I took the shot looking down from a bridge. 😀

MemberThanks Zach .. Yeah, on the Ranch. What a beautiful place! Is that where you got your nice bow, from the top of the thread?
