MemberYou guys need to stop looking at toothless Steve (the dog). Not to mention one of the smallest fish Lando took a pic of during his trip ;D and check out the awesome guy and the hat he is wearing.
The hat is a little faded and wore out (JOEL I NEED A NEW HAT), but it says Troutaholic Outfitters.
Lando,
Thanks for the place to crash this week, it worked perfectly. Great food, and a place to crash… Thanks again. Sorry we didn’t get to hook up the morning I left. The girls were itching to go. Good thing we did. We got to watch a grizzly eat on a elk calf. Right next to the lake. One of the first cars there, so we got to watch him for awhile before the circus showed up. That afternoon I spotted another grizzly in Teton NP. We were the only ones that stopped to watch that one. There were some bison around so I think everyone thought we were just watching them. Thanks Again. This is the Teton Griz not the best shot but it was with my little Optio. When I get my other pictures on my computer maybe I will put up some better shots.

Hope to make it down for some fishing when the water goes down.
You should definately try to make it back up sometime. With all this rain the fishing is going to be good for awhile.

MemberUnfortunately this is not surprising to me. When Lando lived in the area I would fish with him quite a bit. I don’t really remembering having a bad experience on the river with anyone, except the “Green Boats of TVL”. I am glad someone caught them. TVL is one of the operations that give guides a bad name. Hopefully some action is taken.
For me fishing is all about being on the river, having a nice day, the beauty of the fish, and just enjoying myself. Sure I like to catch fish and big ones if I can, but that is definitely not the only reason I enjoy my time on the water.clint stevenson
MemberNice miss Lando.
I am sure it was the only bite all day, and like usual you missed it.
I really like the way that Steve just looks the other way when you miss, and then he seems to look at the camera and laugh a little.clint stevenson
MemberThanks Lando. Here’s a couple more.

MemberHey Joel, after talking to you a couple of weeks ago I finally got around to visiting your website http://www.montanatroutaholics.com/ (shameless plug). I really like how you included all those pictures small fish, and then one picture of a large fish. I wonder who caught the big one?
You should probably be paying him royalties ;D
Nice site by the way.

MemberLando, I hear your warning loud and clear.
Last week as I had just started fishing a guy came up to me and asked if I was from around the area. I told him that I live close by, and he proceeded to tell me that he had been fishing that stretch most of the day. I asked him how it was fishing and he replied very seriously, “I think my buddy was playing a trick on me when he told me to stop and fish here, I don’t think there are fish in this part of the river.” He then asked me if I ever catch anything around here, just as he finished his sentence I set the hook and replied, “very rarely.” Then I proceeded to land the 20″ brown. I have never had more perfect timing in my life.

MemberHave you already sold the GLX, if not how much do you want for it?
clint stevenson
MemberBy the way are you still looking for an elk? My brother works on a ranch down by Lander. I am sure they would let you on to shoot a cow.
clint stevenson
MemberToo bad about the no hunting sign. But isn’t deer season closed for you?
clint stevenson
MemberAwesome, I am glad they caught them. We should go fishing to celebrate, let me know when you will be around.
clint stevenson
MemberYes, sir.

MemberGO POKES!!!
To tell you the truth I had no idea they had won. Living up here in the north country I rarley hear about those Pokes unless I actively seek it out. After the bad start they got off to I pretty much gave up on them. Good to see they have won a few.
By the way Lando, I caught a 9lb. bow this weekend, and a few small ones 4-5 lbs. The old man fishing with me had a net with a scale in the handle and weighed the big one for me. Too bad he doesn’t know how to take a picture. I handed him my camera, and when I got it back all that is in the picture is sky. Guess I’ll have to check the camera before I release the fish in the future.
Joel, let me know if you will be around sometime this week and want to try to go out and get a big boy. Or we could just hit the river.

MemberI almost forgot Utah. Utah is awesome. Utah anglers flock out of state in droves every weekend to fish in neighboring states, so you’ll have a lot of water to choose from in Utah.
Plus, it’s close to Colorado.
I couldn’t agree with this more. Utah is the place to be.

MemberJoel,
Like everyone else I am feeling very sorry for you. I’ll ask around the school a little and see if anyone knows something about a cabin that got broke into. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

MemberI love Clousers!
I prefer the tying process to be pretty straightforward, the fewer the materials the better…but obviously it needs to be effective.
The Clouser fits this criteria very well. Effective and easy to tie.

MemberLando,
If it is a Pine Creek in Wyo. I have fished 2 of them. Let me know I might have some info. for you.

MemberCameron,
Very nice pictures. I grew up in that area, and can recognize all of your locations. Only one question. Where are the browns. There aren’t any in that lake, but all of the streams pictured have browns. Some very nice ones too.

MemberLando… A couple more weeks before I have to start to work again, but I am feeling your pain.
