That fish you caught is a beast! Great post.

I might just have to take you up on that Bob. I am jealous of you living where you do. I would love to fish down that way with you.

Glad to hear it went well Dave. It looks great!

That is pretty funny to be mistaken for twins. We are actually five years apart in age.

Hey Ward, I would love to bring it up to Cola town. Dave and I have been trying to figure out when we can make that happen. I heard you got a new boat as well. Let’s see a report. I want to see some striper pics…….

    Bob,
I have a deep level of respect for your well researched posts. While this type of information might not serve to make me a better fisherman, it certainly provides me with converstation that will make me more interesting to fish with. You and I need to hang out more often. We could have some lively conversations on the water. I am still laughing at this….

Back to the flats tonight. We were on the water before 6:30 which meant we had about 2 hours to fish. We had a great time.

Zach was up first and it didn’t take too long to hook up.

His background as a male model makes it difficult to get what I would call “a normal fishing photo”, but I admire his intensity and dedication to his craft….

I am sure he will post some more pics soon enough. I must say I am enjoying the boat.

    Steve,
I haven’t noticed any issues with it. I know you are in the area, so if you want to come join us on the river one day I would be happy to have you come check it out. Always better to test drive before you buy…

On another note, my brother David (also a board member) and I got back out there today and had a great time. David caught a really nice carp that put on quite a show. It jumped completely out of the water at one point. Pretty awesome. I love the Gheenoe!

I took a bunch of pictures of it, but I forgot to adjust my camera settings and all the shots were completely blown. Oh well. Lesson learned. That’s just one more reason to get back out there.

    Matt,
I checked out your website and you have some seriously awesome images. Keep up the good work. I think it is safe to say that you are turning some heads with this stuff.

Side note: Print 120 on your site is super cool. Is that a hammerhead?

We used about a quarter of a tank. Just guessing I would say it gets about 10-12 miles to the gallon. I was really happy with the way everything worked out today. Now we just have to get dialed in to those carp…..

    Cameron,
Are you going to get that thing out on the Saluda? I want to see a picture of you being towed around in your new boat by one of those big stripers!

    Steve,
It is an awesome area. I have only been a few times, but we kind of stick to the same routine as far as places to stay and areas to fish. I was thinking the whole time about how the Gheenoe would do in that area. It might be worth a try sometime. For now though, we need to run some local trials to see how it will perform. I can’t wait to get on the water!

Haha. Pretty funny Steve. Are you looking for fish pictures? If so, I posted a couple on the previous page of this thread.

Yeah, they were on the ocean side. We poled around some of the back country flats for a while, but didn’t have as much activity.

    Neal,
Good looking photos. Is that Hashiguchi? That place has the best sushi in town.
