That’s very nice desk! Like a commercial tier’s desk! Are these little cells for hook/beads? or for the finished flies? I would be very productive if I have this desk!
All others have great setting too! Love these desk photos!
I really don’t have a tying desk…(that’s why I did not post photo.. :() Mine tying desk could be on living room or bed room…. a vise and a case of material… I “dig” things out of the box… no organization at all… 🙁

I think maybe Cameron can give us some review here. He got a 3wt ridge line/Airflo, I just play with it about 10 mins and I do really like it.(thinking about to get one too). The line feel stiffer and less coil up, they do make a special feel when the line shoot through the guides…

I think these tube fly boxes are good… but usually I just use Zip lock bag for the tube flies (without hook)… 😉Mike, That is a lot fo meat!! For sure! even the floating “balls” good stuff…

No need to do the treatment of the flash. Sorry Chad, I usually not. (maybe it is just my way, your method is good though… I usually use them when I use super wide angle lens… and see more dramatic effect…)
Pat. you might want to take a look of Zach’s brown series/ Morsie’s saltwater series. They have fill flash and they do not over expose the fish…
The reson you feel you will over expose the chromer is you already over expose a bit (because of the dark background… maybe)… I would tune the camera to normal exposure, and fill in the flash about 1/3 or 1/2 stop. and that sould be turns out right…I do think set the flash light -1/3 or -2/3 stop would work just fine to reduce the fisherman’s shadow…
A good way of using a flash… use them lightly!

Got your idea!I like the first photo for sure! They show the big rock and small fisherman! I can image there should be a good pool and good fish! Thus I think the big rock give me some key about the environment! I actually like the rock there… 😀
For the 4th photo I felt a bit “weird” to me, sorry…
Be honest with you, I never see fisherman take a small fly up just for “check out”… usually they will take the box close “to their eye” to check them out… only they are ready to tie one, they will take them out of the box and tie one on… so the photo seems a but unusual to me…well… maybe just I never encounter this situation…Again, Nice photos! Keep them coming! 😀

I would say they are pretty good photos! But I get little bit confuse about you said they are different from other FF photos…no offense… Why you think they are different? any different approach whille you shooting them? different philosophy? My suggestion items from your list, would be the landing net / glove.Some nice boat pictures and cute bird pictures… nice! Make me feel need a trip with my family and try the roller coaster.
I hate hearing stories about rude guides! It gives us all a bad name! That is why I think there should be a manditory school that guides should have to go to so that etiquette can be pounded into their brains! I went to a guide school and that was a huge part of the school.

My friend went to Nepal for mountaineering years ago, he told me that the guild system there in ecotourism/mountaineering are complicated and the organizations there play a very important role to maintain a high quality/ safety of the ecoturism system. In short, they have different levels guides with different skills. You pay different price for them too.
Not sure if this is applicable to the fishing guides system here. But, there are certainly some newbie guides and some veterans in our system. For myself, I would willing to pay more money for the most experienced and polite guides…

I agree with Michael… you need to use another material to cover the model paint/nail paint… otherwise they are very easy to chip off… If your flies hit rocks, it get worse… I use Epoxy to do a final coat… much stronger…
Talk about UV and luminance… I agree with Clark about the night time fishing specialty.
To my knowledge (from what I know in light spectrum), luminance under daylight won’t get extra reflactance from the material, because the sunlight is too strong and the luminace materials special property would be fully covered by the sunlight (sunlight’s reflectance is way more stronger than the light shed from the materal per se)…. this means, don’t pay extra money with something that doesn’t make any difference, if you only fish under the bright daylight condition.However, in the night time, the low luminant property of these material become more prominent … I think they will attract somebody’s attention (fish/fisherman).
For some blue/purpleish materials, they always have some UV reflectance, especially the blue/purple color always extend into UV region. e.x. Blue Jay’s feather have a lot of UV reflactance. And fish did see UV very well, in general…I was curious, how far is the regular distance you shoot with 10 wt line? (in this type of fishing…)
