MemberZach too funny!
Here are few more classics
“it must be the guy that tied the fly”“Another Guide has already fished this stretch with his clients and the fish are resting…”
“The fishing gods must be mad at you. what did you do?”

MemberI’m not a huge Orvis fam though I spend most my time in their shop here because I’m friends with many of them and besides the 2 Batt LA’s I have most of my prefered would be Sage. Than again some people base their buying on a sale price I prefer to buy on what I know and use the most.

MemberThe Cougar is an awesome fly, I remember a few years back when I was at the Slide Inn on the Madison I was fortunate to have a beer with Kelly Galloup and talk to him about some of his patterns.
Love the Action on them Fo sure!

MemberI would love to see that A2 sounds sweet! My lake fishing I like to get there quick and dead on so my Sage’s do the trick, for Rivers (i’ve broken 2 tips in 2 years) I’ll use an older St Croix or no name since mostly jigging and they get get beat up during river scouting/climbing and flies getting hung up in trees/structure

MemberZach,
Great article and I really enjoyed it! I got the article a few months back and also enjoyed the other Night info from another guy in the issue talking about fishing the San juan, I had just returned from the SJ and had also done some night fishing.
Great stuff since I’m a huge night guy~

MemberLove those rod trips and love em more when they turn out like that! Sweet trip and even better nice pictures~

MemberNice rod and looks like it should do the job. I prefer my TCR or mostly XP for my Carpin. I actually use a 7 or 8 wt while river fishing to keep those fiesty fish out of the trees and structure so the more power the better for me but my 6 wts work perfectly on the lakes~
