Maybe we should get an IA powerball pool together and play as many states as possible with winnings going toward the purchase of IA’s K Bar L Ranch?
Check out troutpredator.com. That is exactly what I’m talking about. I used to fish with the guy. I was there when the website was birthed. While it provides lots of good information to people, the true purpose was for the individual to become a known commodity in the FFing world.
Please don’t take this as a criticism. I really don’t care. To each his or her own. You want fame more power to ya.
If you don’t want to break the bank, and want a very nice rod that’s not a pool cue and delivers big, wind-resistant flies with punch, check out the Loomis GL3s.
while most of my fishing takes place with a galvan reel on my rod, my favorite reel is my Abel TR1 on my 7’6″ Diamondglass 3 wt.
My buddy and I have been dreaming of conning someone into buying our “save the endangered huchen” species plan of stocking US rivers with them, of course ignoring the detrimental environmental effects in our “could you imagine” scenario. But the Upper Delaware system would be much more interesting if you added some European huchen to the brown trout fishery. 😀

Taimen are thought to be an Asian subspecies of Huchen.
Or how about marble trout?
They’re suffering in Europe as well. Don’t we owe it to the poorly protected European species to save them from habitat destruction? Brown trout have done well. Hahaha.
The japanese huchen, a searun species, is critically endangered.
I just fail to understand how recreational angling could impact striper pops more than the decimation of their forage.
