My favs are my old Hardy Bougle 4″ on any steelhead river, Ross San Miguel (amazing finish and just cool looking), and the Nautilus N/V in saltwater because they are just flat out bad ass.

while most of my fishing takes place with a galvan reel on my rod, my favorite reel is my Abel TR1 on my 7’6″ Diamondglass 3 wt.

For light weight reels it’s a tough call between the Hardy Bougle Mark V and the Hatch 3+.

For heavy weight reels I’d also pick two, the Peerless 3A and the Hatch 7+.

The Hatch reels are just really smooth and a joy to fish.
