If I did find myself lonely enough to watch Olympic Curling perhaps the footwear might be the most interesting aspect.

I love watching the curling, because the majority of the Americans are from probably within 100 miles of where I grew up (northern MN).
I like the version of curling in which the ‘stone’ is about one inch thick and three inches in diameter, the players wear shoes with a thin strip of metal along the bottom, and the goal is to push the stone through a 6′ by 4′ net by using a stick with a curved blade on one end. Oh yeah, and if you don’t keep your head up when you are near the stone, there is a better than average chance that someone from the other team will remind you that you should have.
