How waterproof are you talking here, I buy handgun cases at gun shows for 6-8 dollars (Doskocil) they keep things dry in the rain and would float with a light load. I’m going to weight one down tonight and drop it in the pond and see what happens.

Please pass along any information you may have gathered as to how we can attract more women to the sport and how we can better service them in our businesses. Taking my favorite ladies fishing/hunting has forced me to think further ahead than I used to. It still amazes me whatI don’t think we’ve been had at all this is a great topic. I just thought it was odd to ask for information then not check back for 10 days. Perhaps she’s on a fishing trip.
Does it seem strange to anyone else that the person who started this thread hasn’t even been on the site since the day it was posted. Just wondering 😕

I of course didn’t make that up but it is one of the many quips that I have learned over the years spending time with a lot of World War II guys, some of the really funny stuff would not be allowed here. It would be interesting to see what the logo would look like. These are sturdy cases that I use for handgun transport. The snap closures  on some less expensive cases tend to wear out prematurely.MS
My weekend report is a little delayed, had to put a new hard drive in the laptop today. Saturday was a bust for carp but got a few white bass, hit a local pond at dusk (after loading the smoker) and couldn’t keep the smaller large mouth off the poppers.
Sunday we tried some spots on the Huron, lots of feisty rock bass. Finally, called Andy and he hooked us up with a good smallmouth spot, 5 brief encounters and 1 in the net.Thanks for the help Andy I’m planning on going back in 2 weeks, I’ll call you to see if you can make it.
Mike, the carp thing is harder than I expected, I could see them follow the fly then just slide off, (angler error) very frustrating.

Don’t leave out daughters. I have a 12 year old that throws a nice loop, fishing has been a part of her childhood hopefully it will stick.

In the Great Lakes region of the US most people would consider the Muskie to be the alpha predator but the Pike is a close second. Muskie guys hate pike because the pike hatch slightly sooner than muskie and then feed on the younger muskie. To me that looked like a great perch pattern good for both pike or muskie.I have heard that the camera could add 20 pounds, but I was unaware that it could remove hair. ::) ;D

That looks like it would be a nice Muskie fly. It appears you and Zach share a similar hair line. ;DRather a disappointing first swap experience for me but it was a $15 learning experience. For those that received there’s the epoxy head sac fry pattern was mine.

Preschool teacher called me about 12:00 to say my 4 year old had a little accident (some farts can’t be trusted) and could I bring in a change of clothes. When I got there those big blue eyes looked up at me and said daddy can I go home with you. The gear was already in the car so we stopped at a small pond, caught 3 bass and a very prego blue gill. He’s asleep on the couch, I guess we got the weekend off to a great start.
Hopefully I have the picture posted right this time.

Just finished putting the rub on 2 very attractive butts, they should be ready to come out of the smoker when we get home from the river tomorrow.

Wading on Saturday might use the kayak Sunday. We won’t hit the river Saturday till after 12:00 I have to open the shop for a while. The Orvis hatch should be dying off by then and the others will be heading back to camp grounds.The wife just called and said she plans to leave town after school instead of tomorrow. I’ll be heading to the highway pond with some poppers right after I kiss my babies good-bye.
I got gas this morning $4.19 is it worse anywhere else.
