We made the trip down, only 2 hours from our place in Fort Lauderdale. I did stop in at the Key Lantern and the spousal unit did say it would be fine to stay there we opted to drive back home instead after spending the evening at Morada Bay. I also stopped at Worldwide Sportsmen and was a bit disappointed. Hopefully all will work out and we can have an extended trip later in the summer.

MRick, I’ll take you up on that offer. I think I could more use out of a raft than a Drift or Jon boat.
MSI don’t mind walking in my wading gear (cooler weather)but if it’s real hiking I put my stuff in a Osprey pack. I’m pushing 50 and my knees and ankles like a good boot to hike in.
Jason, I’m glad you mentioned the Key lantern I just came across it in my search and was a bit skeptical.Thanks for the tip on unit 7. The Islander would be nice if it was in the budget.

I should have noticed that manicure did not belong to you. Next year we’ll get Rick to come with us he might enjoy the smelt dinner at the Log Bar.
I had vision correction surgery 10 years ago and now I need cheaters for everything up close(I’m 47).I’ve never had a problem with the stick on type magnifiers but they can be hard to keep track of between outings. I also have a pair of polarised glasses with a standard magnifier built in but the magnified area is to large. A fly threader or knot tool with a hook eye alignment slot will help.
