Fast Eddie I would like to forget about the loss to the Terriers last year. What a disappointment that was.
That is one of the cool things about this Montana team. No one expected them to be there. They are a true “TEAM”. There are no real stars. They each go out every week and play their hearts out. They are a lot of fun to watch and cheer for.

I used to have a blast going up to Chattanooga for National Champioship games. That was back when Georgia Southern was good though. Got to the Griz play one year. You guys have some great fans.

I remember playing Georgia Southern for the National Championship. Adrean Peterson was unstoppable! What a tank!

Admittedly, I have only seen the videos, so I cannot make a justified comment, moose you are very, quite correct… it has come a long way and I am always open to new and improved, but also still like the old and inferior.
I like old school too Mike when I am good enough at something that the old school item brings me back to yester year, but when it come to things I am not very good at I will take all of the help that technology will give me. 😉

I watched the vids, it looks great, but I dont think I could get used to just spinning the materials on, and thats not all that flytying is about…
I disagree with that Mike. Look at all of the tools, gadgets, and materials that have been invented in the past 20 years that make the art of tying easier. That is simply what Norve has done with this vise. The techniques that he has come up with to tie in different types of material like dubbing and hackle simply make it a better stronger fly. The art is still there as well as the learning curve that is involved with using the vise for the first time. I simply think it opens more creative doors.
Just my opinion though and I am one of the worlds worst tiers. :-/

I recommend you look at the TFO Finesse or TFO Professional.
Excellent value in those rods although the TFO Pro is not finished to nicely.I second the vote for the TFO Finesse. Great little rod for the price. If you had a little more cash to burn than I would go with the Winston BIIX or BIIT if you like a little slower casting stroke.

Dusty – a friend of mine had the same problem and here is how he solved it: Â Have your wife tell you to sit and give you commands and make the dog watch you obey and then get rewarded. Â Sounds weird, but it worked perfectly for them. Â Personally, I’m very lucky that my dog is an equal opportunity employer/obeyer. Â
Dusty if you take Neal’s advice you HAVE to video tape it for the rest of us to see! That would be priceless!
I think Andrew has given you some very solid advice. I have done the food thing to two of my labs that had eating issues. Aside from the enormous amount of drool you may have to deal with it is amazing how well this works for showing how is in charge.
Make sure your wife is being consistant in only asking the dog to obey once and than making sure the dog does what she wants. You may want to have her take the dog for a long walk and then have her work with her so that the dog can be more focused. Another technique that I had to use on a lab/rotweiller cross I had was to pin it to the ground a lay on top of it until it was completely submissive for several minutes. I think your pup thinks it is higher in the pack than your wife. Next time the dog bites at your wife have her pin the dog and lay on top of it until the dog gives up. Once she does this a few times the dog will quickly realize that she is a little higher on the food chain.

I have to put in one more plug for the Nor Vise. I don’t alot and by no means am I a good tier but I really feel like this vise has helped me become better. I am sure you have seen it at the shows you go to Zach but if the rest of you have not seen this vise you need to check out the videos on Youtube. Here is just one of them.

Excellent, Joel! Â Did they try to sell some of your stuff? Â How were they caught?
Kind of a long story Zach but here is the short version of it. The weekend after the cabin was broke into I received a phone call from a guy that laid the tile in my house back in 2000. He has done some work here at the ranch as well so I have remained in contact with him over the years. Anyhow he calls me out of the blue and asks me if there was a cabin that was broken into up at the lake. I said as a matter of fact MY cabin was broken into how did you hear about that?!! He begins to tell me how a guy that works for him braught it up in conversation out of the blue at breakfast and it just struck him as odd since no one in town really knew about it except myself and the sherriffs department.
Long story short this guy was working a job with him for the past month and my tile guy kept bringing it up in conversation and finally got the story out of him. The story was something like this. “We took a drive up to the lake and my car wasn’t running right so we parked it. I (the tile guys worker) went to see my friends who were camping at the dam and the other guys in the car went for a walk. When I went back to the car the next morning the other guys were past out in the car with a bunch of booze and a pair of binoculars and a spotting scope. I asked them were the hell that stuff came from and they told me they broke into the log cabin and stole the stuff and I better keep my mouth shut or they would kill me!”
Considering that one of the guys is a convicted felon I can understand this guys fear and not coming forward sooner. I am just glad that he finally came forward with the truth and the guys are behind bars!
That is it in a nut shell.

UPDATE!!!!
Warrants have been served, arrests have been made, and the crooks will be arraigned early this week! I can’t tell you how happy I am that these guys were caught! Now hopefully the courts will do their job and these guys will be spending a little time behind bars. I know one guy will for sure as he is a convicted felon that was on probation!
I will keep you all posted as things progress!
