noneMemberThe trip sounds great fun, but the airfair to either Fiji are the deal breakers…
Hawaii from Amsterdam is around 600 Pounds.
Fiji is impossible at more than 1700 pounds!
noneMemberTo which place do one needs to fly from Europe (The Netherlands in my case)?

noneMemberGreat easy listening! I enjoyed the podcast with Jason.
Jason is very passionate about fly fishing as well as casting.
Just a nice guy too, not snobby at all as you mentioned.Jason, I’ll give you a call to fish soon!
noneMemberHey, that’s a neat little device Cameron!
Jay
noneMemberLet me know what you think about the Fenwicks performance with a #3 line!
Jay
noneMemberWow, wonderful pictures.
Memories are coming back.I’ve never fished the Firehole because I visited the park during the summer/fall period. Too hot to fish the Firehole. But the steam clouds from the ground in the background always intrigued me.

They are very light & comfy. And stylish too!I got the Argon model. The lens is rose & photochromatic too.
Many Polarmax models are on sale too (around $100) so they give tons of bang for the money.

noneMemberCameron, did you know that the rod casts a #3 line with authority?
I was just bored so I took out the rod from the empty room in my new house and saw this Orvis CFO with a WF3. Ah what the heck and put it on the rod and started casting a short line on the deck. Wow! This rod really picks up even with just about 5-8 feet!
I was thinking about getting the #3 rod too but now, I’ll just put a #3 line on it when the conditions are really spooky.
Try it your self and let us know what you think about it!
noneMemberThat dude on the right sure is a gap-toothed bastard. 🙂
True story: Lauren and I bumped into Letterman in the Sheridan, Montana coffee shop, just down the road from Twin Bridges.
A more general question on bumping into famous folks:
did you say hi or do you just eye ball him?
noneMemberIf you really want to do some special ultra light fishing, try a 7ft #2 or a #3 bamboo fly rod!
Eventhough it’s rated for
noneMemberGood for you Joel!
I do think these kind of service should be done with rods of this price range. But I even think it should be done at ANY price range. Simply because a happy customer is worth a heck lot more than an angry customer.
I sold my Sage RPL+ #6 rod several years ago and this year I bought a Sage Z-axis #6 rod. The saltwwater version because I want to use it for light saltwater rod too.I like the softer tip of this rod making shorter casts a bit eaiser than the pure fast rods like the RPL+.

noneMemberWell my fellow Dutchman is trying it again….
noneMemberFor me the Dynaking professional is the vise for serious tying (at home, at shows, large numbers).
Simply because:* It holds the hook well, both delicate Catskill dry flies (http://www.danica.com/flytier/jlee/light_hendrickson.htm) as well as serious deer hair bugs like the Dahlberg divers (http://bassbug.blogspot.com/2007/03/tying-bassbugs.html).
* Gives me fully operate to turn the fly with ease for inspecting, easy access, etc.For traveling the Dynaking is just too big & heavy.
When traveling I use a small collapsable vise which is really small when collapsed but still very robust when using. (http://bassbug.blogspot.com/2005/11/fly-tying-essentials-travel-light.html)Jay
noneMemberNice clips!
It’s as close as one can get from this part of the world. It’s pretty amazing how these companies keep innovating to keep in front of technology and fishermen’s wallet 😀
Jay
