My brother and I met up with an old college friend in Denver and flew to Bozeman for a week of camping and fishing in Yellowstone. We based out of Madison Junction.
We fished the Madison, Firehole, Gibbon, Yellowstone, Slough Creek, and Soda Butte Creek. Slough and Soda Butte have in the past been our ace in the holes streams, but
Bryan, wonderful pictures!
The park always seems to impress you again.
Thank you
Jay
Bryan,
Nice Madison Browns.
Hi, Mike. Probably not on Friday. We fished the Firehole the previous Monday. Fortunatley, I’m pretty sure we aren’t the folks who messed up your hole at Muleshoe.
I really enjoyed reading your posts and looking at your pictures. Since we were camping we didn’t visit too many restaurants. We ate at a bar b-q place in West Yellowstone that was fantastic; and, that cominng from someone who has grown up in the south. On Wednesday we had to drive our friend back to Bozeman to catch a flight the next morning. We stayed the night, cleaned up, and ate at a wonderful little place in downtown called Boodles.
From what little I saw of the Bozeman/Belgrade area I have to say I don’t blame you for looking into real estate. The three of us talked up the same idea.
Thank you, Jay for the kind words. And, you are right about my park experiences. They seem to get better with each return visit. I have yet to go in Winter (no fishing), but seeing everything dusted in snow whet my appetite to experience it in full white. I’m hoping for a winter stay at Old Faithful Lodge.

As for most of us I visted the park to fish. The best way to enjoy the park is in my view to avoid the crowd and hike & fish. I’d love to come back to the park and do that again.

Thanks Bryan – Lauren and I didn’t make it out there this year but it’s nice to see some old haunts.
Love the sheep; where did you see those?

Great photos! Really enjoy these yellowstone wilderness…
Thanks for sharing! 😀
Thanks both. Zach, the goats were near Tower. We also saw some clinging to a steep rocky cliff not far out of Gardiner. I stopped to take pictures and spooked them. They began scrambling up the rock face creating a small slide that came dangerously close to banging up our rental.
