Thanks Zach, and others. You saved me buying another filter. I’ll try what you said, which I think I pulled off this weekend w/o meaning to. When I get some time, I’ll post a few of them to see if we are on the same page.

Thanks for the quick response y’all. So is the yellow filter idea BS? Keep in mind though, I was told this when I was rolling my own cassettes of TMAX 400. Maybe digital negated this idea.

I am in the same business as Corey K. (small world), but in the loss prevention side of things. After publishers create the games, we collect the art assets and create dummy or dead boxes. That way, whenever a sticky-fingered individual walks into BestBuy, BlockBuster, Circuit City, Toys R’ Us, and a host of other retailers, he or she only has access to an empty clamshell (what holds the product). Retailers keep the live product locked up and place our product on their shelves. I also produce promotional items for the gaming industry: anything from huge corrugate standees to little foam characters, t-shirts, etc.

I am sure I will see them soon enough.

    Aaron,
I tied up one more fly for the Swapmeister, that way you get two. I thought that was the way these things go. Nick did the same. I hope you kept the extras. You did a great job here!

Mark-An extra bonus! Thanks man; very generous of you. One cannot have too many nippers.

    Ethan,
    Check these guys out: http://www.recycledwaders.com/
There was a small article about them in the latest issue of American Angler. It seems that they will make what you ask of them, after you supply some usable wader material.

    Aaron,
I am by no means a qualified photo critic; I ‘ll leave that to the present pros. However, I have always enjoyed your images and try to learn from them myself…you are far too hard on yourself bro. You are not one whom needs to concern himself w/ lack of talent. Be proud Man! Own it and be damn proud!

It is just like walking up to a bank and already having a defeatist attitude: these fish won’t bite; I don’t have the right fly; etc. But, if you walk up and own it inside, there are better stories at the end of the

Aaron- you are the Swapmeister! What’s next…striper season is fixing to heat up on the TX tailwaters, but so is Trout season for others! Maybe some big, chunky trout meals?

That’s a good lookin’ dog, Scott. How big do you expect her to get? I ask b/c I am also looking for a dog to get my wife, whom speaks of Yorkies constantly. I may have to break down and succumb to her wishes, but for now I am trying to find a less-emasculating breed.

in reply to: My flies are getting crushed #28583

This is my trout box for essentials. It is light and packs easily. It is called the cliff’s Day’s Worth. With Cliff’s boxes, the white pallet you see is magnetized, so all of the little midges, nymphs, etc. stay put.

in reply to: My flies are getting crushed #28582

I use these boxes from Cliff’s. They are crush-proof and have plenty of room to avoid crushing bugs.

Looks like an awesome trip, Cameron, minus the hail. Thanks for posting these; I always love to see what fish look like outside of my typical hunting grounds. One day, you will have to explain to me this fascination with glass rods some of guys have!

in reply to: Hey Neal… #56279

    Neal,
The product I purchased yesterday is not tubing per say, meaning it is not circular and hollow. It is a flat band, and when cut it measures 3cm by 1.5cm.
