Cameron MortensonMemberUmmm…maybe this board isn’t all lawyers and police officers anymore. HA…
I am a detective with the Lexington Police Department outside of Columbia, SC. I have been assigned to a narcotics task force for the past three years working on a specialized interdiction unit with another agent. We end up running cases within our county, most of South Carolina, and into some areas of Georgia as well.
In my off time I am a husband and a father to a full speed three year old girl. We enjoy travel, photography, books, and cooking/grilling at the house.

MemberWow! What a diverse and interesting group of occupations here! Pffft and I though everyone was either a guide or a pro-photographer! [grin]
I work as a artist in the video game industry. My current position is sr. technical artist for electronic arts on a character team. In addition to creating art that goes into the game… as a TA I help create art process, tools, and specifications to make sure the art side is 100% ready to go in the game. I then debug why art doesnt work or breaks the game. [grin] I have worked in the game industry for about 16 years and have done almost every job related to art. A few of the more popular titles I have worked on are twisted metal black (ps2), downhill domination (ps2), tiger woods 08 (wii), simpsons (xbox360). At the moment I am bringing to life the cute creatures from the littlest pet shop for the nintendo wii and nintendo ds. If you have a little girl you will prob know about them. ;D
For hobbies … I enjoy both design and photography. So, a couple of years ago I decided to put both skills to use. In my spare time I started doing websites that have a focus on fly fishing. Its a vicious and enjoyable cycle – do a website, get paid in float trips, and take pictures to do more websites!!! 😮

John BennettMemberCapital markets.
Small firm so I wear alot of hats. Primarily I run a structured products(derivatives) “book” which entails managing the firms risk. In other words it’s my job in part to ensure nothing blows up and we don’t end up being yet another “hedge fund” that makes the news… Other things include money market, equity and yield arb trading.J

MemberI am a small town, general practice attorney in Lebanon, Virginia. I do everything from wills to 1st degree murder cases. I have my own firm and have been in practice for eight years, jstanley_atty@bvunet.net I also have been serious into fly fishing for eight years. I spend my free time reading or fly fishing for smallmouth and trout. My wife still does not understand why I spend money on fly fishing, but with some of my cases it is the best stress release.

MemberWell, I make my living as a fly fishing guide here in east Tennessee and the surrounding states. I stay fairly busy for nine months out of the year, and still do a few trips during the winter months.
The biggest majority of my trips are done out of a 16′ Clackacraft (the best whitewater boats period). I do a few mountain trips but most of my clients prefer the comfort of the big boat.
I’m on the water with clients between 150 and 180 days a year. IF I’m lucky, I get to spend 15 – 25 days each year with a rod in my hand. I really enjoy streamer fishing when I do get a chance to fish, and will often times forgo catching a lot of fish for the shot at THAT one fish.
I’ve been guiding now for about 7 years. I made my living as a carpenter/electrician before I took my position in my fiberglass office. I’ll still occasionally take on a

MemberI am in the same business as Corey K. (small world), but in the loss prevention side of things. After publishers create the games, we collect the art assets and create dummy or dead boxes. That way, whenever a sticky-fingered individual walks into BestBuy, BlockBuster, Circuit City, Toys R’ Us, and a host of other retailers, he or she only has access to an empty clamshell (what holds the product). Retailers keep the live product locked up and place our product on their shelves. I also produce promotional items for the gaming industry: anything from huge corrugate standees to little foam characters, t-shirts, etc.

MemberI am a retired engineer. I spent most of my technical career designing engines for General Motors. I have been responsible for the design or involved in the design of over 20 experimental and production engines including the Saturn, several V-6’s, and the Truck Line Family including the Envoy, H3, and Colorado engines. After retirement, I started my own consulting company where I run projects and write technical design manuals. I do some non-technical writing and maintain a website (http://www.HATofMichigan.org) for handicapped fly fishermen. I also have written one book, You Can’t Make a Living Tying Flies, published through Trafford and I have written a number of articles on fly fishing, fly casting, and the environment all of which are available for download off the previous website.
That’s me.
