MemberThis has been fun getting to know everyone on this message board.
I use to be an Art Director but the boss really got to me so I had to say good bye. I have worked in large Ad Agencies to small Design firms but there has always been something missing.

MemberAlthough I have worn many hats at the heart of it I’m a Photographer. My primary business is commercial advertising Illustration. I pretty much shoot everything but weddings. I really enjoy large and medium format Black & White photography and have had some shows in the past and hope to have some in the future.
Of course I enjoy fly fishing and fly casting. Like photography you can get better and better as long as you can get out of bed. Although I live in the south I love the American West especially Wyoming. I crossed Jenny Lake when I was 16 to go to Exum Mountaineering School and part of me never came back. Fortunately my son is at UW and is taking his sweet time getting out so I get to go back and fish and hangout.
Being a husband and father has been my most gratifying life experience!
Catching a fish is fun but seeing your kids catch fish is even more fun!Sep 5, 2008 at 1:07 am #29560rachel hillis

Joel ThompsonMemberI am a fishing Outfitter (Montana Troutaholic Outfitters) and director of outdoor activities for Rock Creek Cattle Company in Deer Lodge MT. Though my outfitting company is seperate from RCCC I guide almost exclusively for them. RCCC ( http://www.rockcreekcattlecompany.com) is a high end private club and community that is an absolutely amazing place to work. My office is the outdoors in a beautiful part of western Montana. I spend most of the time I am not guiding planning peoples activities when they visit the ranch. It is pretty easy to please people if they are into the outdoors at all. The ranch is an 80,000 acre working cattle ranch that has an abunance of Elk, Deer, Big Horn Sheep, Wolf, Coyotes, Eagles, Hawks, Bears, Moutain Lion….basically a little bit of everything! Nothing beats the smile on someones face when you get to show them one of those creatures for the first time! I spend about 75 days a year taking clients fishing and the rest of the time taking them on guided hikes, mountain bike rides, ATV rides and fun stuff like that.
I am a fifth generation Montanan. I have been married for 17 years to my lovely wife Debbie. We have no kids just a big yellow lab named Riley.
Prior to working for RCCC I worked for UPS in Missoula MT for 17 REALLY LONG YEARS!!!

Roy ConleyMemberI am retired. I worked for the Georgia State Auditor for 34 years. As Deputy Director of the Education Audits Division, I co-ordinated the financial and federal single audits of public education systems (180) and about 50 public libraries. Now-a-days, I am systematically transferring my limited wealth to many fishing guides (Rocky Cox being just one).

MemberAm editur of a flyfishn’ magazeen. I got here via a stint at Outdoor Life, which is, sadly, based in New York City.
I live in southwestern Vermont, just a few long golf drives from the Battenkill, which I now–against my better judgment–consider my home water. No dogs, but I have a lovely wife, a 5-year-old boy, and a 3-year-old girl, who take up much of my time. My son got his first fly rod this year: a 4.5-foot custom-made fiberglass beauty.
I am also a proud ex-graduate student, who completed all but the dissertation for a PhD in English, which is why I devote much of my energy to trying to convince Lauren to GET OUT NOW WHILE YOU STILL CAN!
Like everyone else, I have a blog: http://tinyurl.com/aablog

MemberRetired newspaperman here. Live across the street from a little trout stream that contains wild browns and rainbows. Basically, I fish all summer, ride my bike and camp. Winters are for skiing or filling up the camper and heading south.
Wish I’d known about this retirement gig earlier. I’d have done it a whole lot sooner!

MemberAssistant Professor in a research intensive School of Pharmacy. Most of my research involves how drugs improve patient outcomes after cardiac surgery. I love teaching as well… Since I work for the state, I get lots of time off. Most of my fishing is done in the backcountry (small stream and high mountain lakes). The closest trout stream is 3-4 hours away so I’ve been looking at getting into carp and gills to fill my time.
