MemberDA,
I was going to go to a Photoshop World seminar here in the metroplex, but after seeing your work I might as well just sign up for DA Ps World Tour! When are the classes? Take PayPal?Would love to see Bob and Neal’s face when they see this image!

MemberDusty, I was impressed you said ‘on the piss’ – and here I was thinking that there was no culture in Texas.. 😀
That would be compliments of spending a semester in N. London at an Anglican Seminary. Yes, an institution of the Lord actually accepted me. My English brethren taught me much, along with all of the other Americans whom thought they could drink some beer. I do not suggest any drinking game with any European.

It is o.k. young one. When your pallet graduates we will get you into some grown-up brews. I had Natty light in my bottle as well.  😉
Didn’t we get in trouble for this kind of rambling once before, and besides I was weaned on Black Label which I’m sure explains a lot of things.
Yes Sir, we did. Good point.

MemberI know David; I had just been influenced by some German hops when I first saw it and was really excited about new techniques you were developing. It was not until Mark S. pointed it out to me that I realized my own idiocy. I failed to notice that Neal had grown six inches since the last I saw him.

MemberWell done my friend. Hudson will be outfishing most of us before he has his first girlfriend. That grin in pic 6 says it all.
Did the G10 make it, or is it time for another?

MemberI am sure I have looked worse…whatcha got? I would love an excuse to stop using Br and move to Lr.

Edit: This is what happens when one reads a post whilst on the piss…I actually took you seriously, DA. But I would still like to see the paper bag filter in use.

MemberThat is an awesome Tarpon, no doubt. But I prefer this one:

It is obvious that the weight of that fish is causing the angler to almost buckle at the knees and fall in the drink.
Seriously though, Neal, your shots are outstanding. Great report! Cannot wait for round two.

MemberDude, sign my ass up! Of all the trips you make, I must say I am the most jealous of the Roosters. Plus, they made for one great story. Can’t wait for part two.
Great work, my friend!

MemberNeal is certainly being very gracious in his reports of our outing. I simply could not find fish that day, but it looks like he made up for it in the following weeks.
Many of us, I would imagine, try to keep the mindset that being out-of-doors and in good company is enough to create an awesome day. So we tell ourselves when we are unsuccessful that not all days can be stellar and we give thanks for the good that the day did bring. Typically, I am not this thankful angler. I did not buy all that damned equipment to commune; I want some fish! However, on this one day, searching dried up rivers and casting around drunken adolescents in float-tubes, I truly had an awesome day. Neal’s angling prowess is second only to his knowledge behind the lens and his sharing attitude. In truth, I think I had more fun conversating through rural TX than I did on the water.
It was a great time, Neal, and you will have to let me make up for that day’s fishing sometime in the near future!

MemberFrom my experiences, awesome customer service. I sent three of four sections floating down river on the Bighorn. I called them, told them all I had was the cork end, and after I sent it in I received a new rod. And I even admitted the fault was my own. Like I said, great customer service.
I have had two of their rods, and both did their job well. I had a 6 and an 8 at some point, but I had no issue selling them. Take from that what you will, but I felt that they lacked feel and sensitivity that I have witnessed in my other rods. Keep in mind though, this was almost three years ago, and I have not cast any of their recent products.
For the money, and the warranty, get a TFO.dusty montgomery
MemberMark,
It seems that the current trend, and for good reason I would think, is Native hybrids. With all of the room you have at the shop, I think you should become a full line dealer of Natives!dusty montgomery
MemberShane,
I was in the same boat not long ago. I went and bought one of Fishpond’s backpacks, and it was great. However, I soon realized it caused me to carry more gear than I needed, plus it got to be quite heavy. Whether I was on local lakes, or up at Broken Bow, I was only wearing from hole to hole, dropping it to fish. Also, and especially around here, that pack made me hot.I settled on a Fishpond Waterdance, and love the pack.

MemberJMW is exactly right, and I would be willing to bet that most of the pro photogs on this board would agree. I have bought numerous items from them and never once had any issue.
But Bob is right as well, and I have had friends duped by internet camera adds. One buddy bought a new Canon G9, at an unusually low price, only to find out that it did not come with a battery or any of the other needed accessories that would come from a reputable retailer. By the time he had added all of the accessories, he would have been better off to B&H, or even BestBuy.

MemberNice! I love that stretch you are standing in, but I stay out of Evening Hole. It is typically over-run any time I go to BB. But I think I will be sitting this one out, let Chad have all the fun by his lonesome…Gotta save those pennies for a new ‘yak! (I blame it all on Cameron!)

MemberChad,
Have fun, and bring back some recent pictures of the damage. I am going to sit this one out. I just hate to do the driving for only one day of fishing. Call me if you need anything.
